firstly Villareal get an early booking but Arsenal dont get booked for so many cynical fouls on Tacchi, Arzo, Jose Mari etc etc... and of course the penalty call.

Villareal don't deserve to be down.

Wait Arzo, the centreback who went down when Pires didn't touch him? And even if he did he was jumping to get the ball, yeah cynical foul that. I mean HOW DARE HE GO FOR THE BALL! Fine him and sack him.

I disagree. Apart from a couple of chance against the run of play they have been sh1te. If anything Arsenal should be 3-0 up.

Sorin isn't helping the cause. He dived in the first minute, so the chances of any player getting a freekick for Villarreal go down significantly.

Sorin was clearly taken out by Eboue who should have been booked. He isn't diving. Look at the way your players make challenges. Half of Villareal could be injured by now - everyones been getting knocked around all over the place.

About Henry's goal they say on the TV he had 1 foot on Offside the replay is quite though to notice if it is or not. At times it would seem that both teams are a bit nervous specially on defense, however the defenses are still doing good work not letting Riquelme and Henry play freely. Villarreal must not let Javi Venta one-on-one with Henry and Arsenal should beware of giving free kicks to Villarreal near the box. It still is kind of an interesting match.

Is the pitch wet? Because some players of Villarreal seem to be sliding all the time.
Haven't been there a lot of off-sides for both teams?

Pitch is quite wet. Arsenal soak their pitches to get a slick surface for our passing. Arsenal have no Englishmen, one on the bench I think.

The score should be 2-1 Arsenal with 2 bookings for Arse and 1 for Villareal at the most.

Javi Venta is awful. Pellegrini should have put one of those dummies that teams use at freekick practice in training. I bet he would do a better job.
My guess is that Villarreal must surely have more spanish players than Arsenal has english players on the pitch.

It's 3 homegrown I think. And homegrown isn't by nationality. Homegrown is any player signed in the ages of 16-21 who stay at the club for 3 years. So Fabregas, Cole, Eboué (in a few years time), Flamini, Reyes, van Persie etc. would all apply.

Can't remember one booking, but the Arzo foul was terrible. High, late and nowhere near the ball.
