This is nothing more than a thrill ride in movie form. The big screen was invented for movies like this. I absolutely enjoyed every single second of this film despide the cliche story and stereotypical characters. The battles, the music, the special effects were absolutely amazing. This movie is also filled with dark humor that does not dissapoint (flying bodyless heads for example).

This movie will suck on DVD unless you have a 100+ inch TV and a dark room to watch it in. In theaters however it is a artistic masterpiece and it also KICKS F*CKIN ASS!!

that's usually how it goes, except she doesn't get a chance to express her opinion.

I couldn't get away with 300 as a date movie, but at least I can veto something like Little Women.

Well I'm single now but with my ex I could get away with anything as a date movie cause the bitch worshipped me. Took me almost two years to realize that that sort of relationship is not good (yeah sure it's great the bitch does whatever you want but then again the fact that she's so crazy about you makes her obsessed and jealous beyond belief which leads to loads of bulls*it).

13 year old skater kid: HEY DUDE, are you going to watch 300?!
Me (knowing he wanted to pretend to be my brother or something so he could get in): what's 300?

WOAH!!!! SICKEST MOVIE EVER!!!!! Loved every minute of it. This is the first time in my life that i have went through a whole movie that didn't have a single useless minute that you don't mind missing.

Man, they even had some crazy persian lesbian **** in there! I can see why Mika loved it.

Also, loved it how they portrayed the myths about some ugly and terrifying persian warriors.

Man, the whole movie was like watching a sick video game battle, every level of attack gets harder, wierder and more breathtaking. WOW!

SPOILER---------------------------------------------------

And the ending too!!!!!!! The part where Leonidas drops his helmet and shield to make it look like he is about to kneel to Xerxes and then unexpectedly jumps with his spear, wounding the persian king and destroying any belief that Xerxes was the god-king.

Friging sick, i would watch this movie 5 more times probably. Hope, you missed out majorly, bro.

You said it best, this movie was made to be seen in the theatres. Acting was meh, plot wasn't really that good either. Xerxes cracked me up, he looked like a damn transvestite with his lipstick and drawn eyebrows. Anyway, did anyone catch that ******* sweet ass SP3 trailer? I nearly wet my pants.

Yes that was my first thought, I was expecting an arm extending punch by him at the end.

finally watched it tonight. waited all this time until it opened here in Uruguay to see it on teh big screen. pretty great. great effects, battles, and the story was very good. really liked it.

and yeah, Xerxes was a transvestite, but the whole 300 guys looked really gay whenever the camera would pan out and show them all standing like models with their thongs and perfect bodies :p

btw, the fight scene with the two young guys that kill like 30 Persians in 3 minutes was awesome. it could've been a music video but it was very cool (Y)

Awesome movie in terms of action and visualization, not to mention the great score. Also, I loved the way Xerxes' character was portrayed, too. I wish he had played bigger part in the movie, or at least showed him more.
