It looks impressive and certainly worth watching, though it is the sort of film that could be without any sort of depth or substance. Definately one of the many must watch films coming up over the next few months though.

We are coming into such a rich vein of films right now. All the directors who's next film is practically an event are putting out films now or in the near future - Scorsese, Stone, DePalma, Kelly, Fincher, Nolan, Almdovar, Besson, Cuaron, Tarantino, PT Anderson, Lynch, Aronofsky, K Smith, Frears, Soderbergh, S Coppola - never known it to be so crowded with things to look forward to. Plus Borat and a new Bond film (Y)

"There Will be Blood" with Daniel Day Lewis. Absolutely awesome, by all accounts.

Superman
oh yeah, I read about it. that one sounds excellent.
and dont forget in your list of directors about Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (Amores Perros, 21 Grams). His Babel (Pitt and Blanchett) seems to be great.

And also Guillermo del Toro (Blade, Hellboy)´s Pan's Labyrinth looks stunning and has apparently a brilliant story (Y)

Cool news about Inarritu - hadnt heard about that film, and I've liked his previous work so it's something else to look forward to (Y)

Not so sure about Del Toro though - didnt really like Blade or Hellboy and I'm not sure whether Pan's Labyrinth looks good or not.

I saw the trailer in the cinema and didnt really like the look of the animation - it was very impressive, but looked much to computergamey. Still looking forward to the film, very much. If this is great, Frank Miller will officially be behind the two greatest comic book movies of all time.

Hmm, the search function let me down. I typed in 300 and it found no threads. Oh well, thanks for merging them.

This movie is going to be awesome in theatres and even better on Blu-ray. The 1080p PS3 trailer I downloaded looked really good.

I've been anxiously waiting for this movie for months. All the preview scenes look amazing... it better not be a let down.

It just looks like Sin City wanting to be Gladiator, which is EXACTLY what i thought it would look like.

Mind you i really didnt like Sin City, the most overhyped and overated movie in history, but meh - i'll go watch it.
