Why is everybody crying because we got Olimpiakos? The reason why we got a more inferior team is because we ended first in our group, unlike Man City and Arsenal. Also, Olimpiakos qualified to the next round because they are good enough. Don't look down on them.

Some quality games here. Really, really looking forward to playing Galatasaray - Drogba back at the bridge, Mourinho squaring up with Mancini, Wesley Sneijder (who I still want to see in blue) with the chance to impress Jose. If I was in the UK I would sell my testicles to get tickets to the home leg.

Some other good games. Arsenal and Ozil MIGHT JUST shock Bayern, unlikely but you never know. AC Milan vs Atletico could be really good, City vs Barca an instant classic.

Sneijder is finished. He was atrocious against Madrid x2 and us x2.

In before he scored the 1-0 winning goal, that means nothing about his physical state

We'll either pull off a massive upset or being able to focus on the league. Not a terrible draw all things considered. We probably stand the best chance of anyone against Bayern and even then they'll be heavy favorites.

I don't want to insult any Arsenal fans, but i'd like to see a Bayern vs. PSG match. I think they are the team that could possibly have a chance at beating Bayern.

Their defence is solid, not great, Thiago Silva is a world class defender and Alex next to him can get the job done. Maxwell as well. Now van der Wiel against Ribery pff... He's improved a lot, but i think Ribery would have a field day with him.

Anyway this is just random drunk talk by me, i doubt that those two even meet eachother.

PSG would get hammered. They are a soft team. Bayern would destroy them in the same way that they ripped Barcelona to shreds.

PSG just has some big name players. Nothing more. They can't stand up to a major European team, in the Champions League.

That Barcelona fans are nervous about facing Manchester City in the Champions League should indicate the gap between Barcelona and Bayern.

Are you saying Barcalona arent a major European team?

They have a good squad, but that doesn't make them some heavyweights in the CL. I'll be rooting for Barca obviously, since i want City to crash out early.

chygry argued that PSG and Bayern would be a clash between two titants. newbie offers the opposite point of view. His reasoning is that Bayern are much better than PSG, and would therefor destroy them, like they did Barca. Mus argued that PSG were competitive against Barca. I don't see how that makes a case for PSG to truly challenge Bayern, though. They challenged Barca, not Bayern. It still stands to reason that Bayern would thrash PSG like they did Barca.

Regarding City, the point newbie was making was that while PSG challenged Barca, Barca have fallen from the top, now held by Bayern (as evidenced by their 7-0 loss and their fear of facing a team with no European credentials. It doesn't mean Barca aren't a major team, but they're at the apex anymore. They even be 2nd, but certainly some way away from the best. The best being Bayern, who would beat PSG.

Understanding it any other way requires conscious volition.

Actually, I said they held their own vs Barca in response to: they cant stand up to a major European team in the champions league

wow, that was a stroll ... shame the Matuidi-induced own goal was inexplicably disallowed ...
