no Zlatan, no Verratti, why bother? unless you were watching it for Valencia, since you're there ...
Matuidi :33vff3o:
Ligue 1 Player of the Season (Y) ... but there's only so much unrelenting defensive work I can take in without having others add some attacking flair to the mix :p ...

I don't get how Ancelotti an Italian tactician well known for defense oriented teams
Cafú had a much better defensive acumen, but damn, that's actually not a bad theory :-D ... I still think PSG will write off Gregory as a failed low-cost gamble this summer ...

Gus was bad but Warren Barton was awful. He sounded like he was going to cry when he realized United weren't going to win.
hahaha, yes! (H)

Well, you won't have to worry about the shite announcers once fox soccer channel goes bye-bye this fall.
except for Champions League matches, I'm usually watching footie on beIN sport (PSG, Barça, Mou, and Calcio), and even there guys like Ray Hudson are insistent on delivering cringeworthy commentary ... that said, there is one major improvement: the bias is more around big players/clubs, than around any particular country, and that's far more understandable, let alone tolerable ...

any news on who NBC are looking at to anchor and analyse the Prem next season?

EDIT: and I only found out yesterday that there'll be a separate semifinal draw for the first time, instead of the usual quarters/semis/final combined draw ... dafuq?!

Hmm... friend of mine said the other day that there was association protection in the Quarters. He's not a particularly knowledgeable fan, so I told him he was wrong and that United and Chelsea faced each other as recently as 2011 in the Quarters. Now with this, I wonder if they are doing that. Would all but guarantee Bayern and Dortmund to the Semis as far as I'm concerned.

The ties for the quarter-finals involving the eight winners from the UEFA Champions League round of 16 will be determined in an open draw. At this stage of the competition, no teams are seeded and clubs from the same national association may be drawn against each other.

beIN sport -- the Qatari sports network -- have unparalleled coverage of PSG, including all the friendlies :D ... so I've recorded and then watched every match since the summer, and it's felt like Blaise has been there, on fire, for every single one ... impossible not to love him ;) ...

beIN isn't free. Nothing is on free TV in the US. The Champions League Final as of like 2 years ago is it. And some World Cup games. We do have a lot of options for relatively cheap with cable though; I think most Americans willing to pay a modest amount can see more Premier League games than someone in England.

It's about $60 a month here for the EPL

On top of your cable package, or just in general? Because $60 isn't bad for a basic cable package here that wouldn't include any of the football channels.

yeah, there's nothing free about beIN sport ... get a big flat, get some roommates, share the football, and the bill ...

I find it very hard to feel sympathy for those that chose to stuff themselves with fast foods and excessive partying, then gain weight and label excess fat on a sickness.

When you age your metabolism slows and if your diet is off then you'll gain weight. Nobody else's fault but your own.

He also had a whole bunch of burgers and alcohol. Sneaking in trips to Brazil.

This leads to a drop of performance, fatigue, weight gain, stress and even mild depression. Which is then exuberated by more unhealthy eating and drinking to satisfy the cravings. All of this is symptoms of hypothyroidism.

If Ronaldo ate a proper diet and trained like a professional athlete supposed to and he was still dealing with all these problems, then I would feel sympathetic. But he wasn't doing himself any favours and hence shouldn't be offended when people call him fat.

He doesn't need pills, he needs to get his mind straight.

Same with Ronaldinho
