I tought Welbeck was good. Giggs or Nani should have been on the bench, although they both had some good moments.

To be fair, United weren't one of the 8 best teams in the competition anyway, so no harm involved.

Bayern
Madrid
Barca
Dortmund
Juve
Porto
Waxtap
PSG/Milan

The only thing I could say against Nani is that he seems to slightly press through with his leg while in the air, which seems to imply a kicking motion. That's probably what got the referee going. But even then I think he never actually had the intent to kick Arbeloa in any way. He was obviously going for the ball which was high. Yellow would have been questionable. Red is an outrage.

The best team lost.

What do you think about De Jong's challenge in the World Cup final, Zlatan?

Totally a red. But that was a completely different situation and not comparable to this IMO. The ball was gone and De Jong pressed through on Alonso's chest. Nani did none of that sort. This was just a collision of two players going for the ball that was in the air.

Can't believe ManU fans are bitching about it. It's a ridiculously reckless and stupid foul on Nani's part. That alone warrants a red, not to mention he did make contact with the studs up. Of all the things to bitch about, that's by far the weakest. You should bitch about your senile coach parking the bus and making crap changes (no Chicharo, no Kagawa, Welbeck over Rooney).

Lol, look who is saying that. A Barca fan! You blame the loss to Ferguson's "senility" while your own team lost 2 games back to back against Real Madrid with 11 men. In one of the games, you even lost by a bigger margin. How ironic.

This is clearly different from the Nani challenge. Nani was looking at the ball and did not know who was behind him. Arbeloa just basically came out of nowhere and collided with Nani's studs. It was accidental.

That's a bullshit red card. Arbeloa is the one running into Nani's path. Nani was moving backwards attempting to control a ball, Arebloa saw him all the way and threw his body at the ball to win it.

what a bullshit call.

how else do you control an air ball?

By the logic of some people here, you should NEVER control a ball that is 3 feet high whether there are players around or not. Let the ball go out for a throw in or let the ball go to the opposition. Logical.
