Even as you were typing this statement you were grinning at the sheer ridiculousness of it

Top Bundesliga teams were better than EPL's last season, now United, Chelsea and probably Arsenal had improved.

And yet an EPL team won the UCL?

FC Porto won it too, didn't mean that they came from the best league in Europe that year.

The EPL was utter utter **** last season.

Porto won it just once. But EPL teams have reached the UCL final 7 times in the last 8 seasons (represented by 4 different teams, more than any other league). That shows the recent strength of the EPL.

And by my reckoning, last season's EPL was one of the most thrilling seasons ever.

It was also the worst it's been in over a decade. MLS is "thrilling" too.

Comparing the Bundesliga to the EPL, there's not even a debate to be had. It's just obvious.

Luckily I was 3 and am an American on top of that. I was barely conscious as a fan in 99. That was my first season supporting a club, and it was like "welcome to football, pussy"

According to Rooney and Smalling, Welbeck has been trying this backheel goal in training. Rooney even had a go with him once for trying this backheel goal in training instead of simply tapping it in.

Anyone have a good idea of an official date for the away kit for 2012/13 season?

I think 2 different away jerseys leaked but no idea when they're coming out. I don't think it will be released very soon.

We've been linked with Baines for a while. Any thoughts? A price of £17m has been mentioned in rumours. I think he would be a nice addition but not at this price. At 27 years of age, he is unlikely to improve anymore. Why don't we get a foreign bargain like Kagawa? Barcelona got Alba for 11 millions FFS!

Saw you guys linked to Moutinho pretty hard.

Baines for 17m is way too much. Would rather pay that amount for a younger player.

Yeah it would be a waste of money. I don't think we need a backup LB right now. I'm not really sure if we did the right thing to loan out Fabio though. What if Evra gets injured? We don't have any natural LB for cover. Evans can do a pretty good job there but imagine if Ferdinand or Vidic get injured again (its gonna happen at some point. That's inevitable).



Anyway, I hope he'll have a great season with QPR.
