I thought the fight scenes were well choreographed, overall the movie made for good entertainment.

good movie if you're looking to have some fun and dont wanna think too hard about the storyline.

We got tickets early and the FamousPlayers we went to was sold out and packed when we got there. The movie started at 10:15, we arrived at 9:30 and still ended up at the back of the line with not very good seats.

it was pretty much sold out hours in advance in most big theatres, but I went to some small one near my friend's house, wasn't too bad

the story lacked

it was a let down, but not a huge one.

the violence was cool, thats about it, and the scenes were beautiful

Great movie, really enjoyed every minute of it.

So now the iranians are complaining because they say it depicts them in a savage way. WTF!! don't they have anything better to complaint about?? I am pretty sure that most of the people are not really paying attention to the historic event related to the movie.

WTF I can't believe no review I read (not even on other sites) were even abit disappointed.

I`ve just came in from watching the film. Great war scenes there, worth watching . Also some nice filming effects. Good overall acting quality. You`ll be satisfied if you`re not looking for a proper historical movie. a bit exaggerated in terms of history there.

but nowadays I feel myself a bit uncomfortable watching historical movies. Almost everything is about special effects. (:/) You film two ships on a sea and the computer makes it a thousand. Everything aside, you know when Leonidas` wife stabbed someone, it wasnt a hard scene to create at all and it was all shot in a bluebox. it`d be better for hollywood to move their arse to the historical scene where it actually happened.


besides, While Leonidas` wife was talking in front of council, for a moment I somehow felt I was listening to a George W. Bush speech.

depends on her type. if she likes to see so much blood, why not

my gf didnt seem to be distracted at all.

Nice special effects, entertaining and lots of blood flying around. Saw nipples like 6 times. I wouldn't say its a classic but pretty good movie.
