What is wrong??

First, I noticed that the website, www.uefachallenge.com , still wasn't updated even though the patch was released... a week ago?

Second, Infogrames doesn't seem to care about U.C. The website http://www.uk.infogrames.com/ only added UEFA Challenge to the 'games available by infogrames', after the patch is available. Why is there no 'coming soon' and there is 'new' and 'available now' only when the patch is released...?

Third, why did Matt(from the UC team) say there is no more patches for U.C? The game is great, so is the patch. I thought the game will be promising as there will be more patches available and Philler is going to set up a fan site for U.C. If there is no more patches to be available, how do we edit the kits as the dumpkit didn't work for anyone now?

Please don't dissapoint us, UC guys.

It could be 'time frames' .. 'Qa forgot', our server was down, but at least we did get a patch that made the game better, and it was better than nothing, and the dev team spent time on the game to try to please everyone, altho' it wasn't what everyone wanted, perhaps in any future challenge release everything will be all in place and no patches will be needed, and then we might be able to edit and tweak to our hearts content .. Ned

This is typical Infogrames stuff. Altough they are my favourite company, having released some of my favourte games (Le Mans, Rally Masters, Driver, Actua 3, etc) well over half of the games they release come with bugs, that are rarely fixed with patches. I had bought UM2000, a great manager, but had a real crap editor, never had it's bugs corrected and was abandoned by Bubball before completion

Iceboy, I was going to make a Uefa Challenge fan site but I'm not sure if I will actually make it because you guys a soccered.com are already going to make one aren't ya?
I have also been asked to make a Fifa ireland web site.
.......The design is read and all that so if you want it I can send you all the pages, all you need to do is add a databse for news and add the content, the rest is all finished.....

We are going to add a corner for Uefa Challenge, yes. But soccered will be dedicated to all soccer games, not a very big site dedicated to uc.(which was your idea) However, I'll ask robert to speak to you. I'm not in charge of this.

Well I could still go on doing it with the site but I will also be working on Fifa Ireland and I might not have the time I'd like.
It is going to be a bit of a hassle but maybe I can hand the site into full control of soccered but still work on it with some help of you guys....

What? No more patches?
When did they say that??

I recal the UC team telling us that there would be more updates. Just another "tell em wot they wanna hear" ploy??

I am personally quite disappointed.
Altho the patch is certainly better than the original release, the bottom line is its still not good enough. And before I get flammed about the patch, they did NOT do us a favour releasing the patch, it was their DUTY. The shameful way the original was released demanded nothing less, and people who payed good money for an incomplete game deserved nothing less.

Unfortunately it did not do enough.
It actually feels a bit like Fifa now, scripted, arcade like, only alot slower and less flowing. Frustration factor is still quite high.

I lost count of how many posts were made in these forums about important game enhancements (not just bug fixes), and even the UC-Team commenting on them and suggesting they might be added, however I've seen harldy any of them at all, which is particularly sad given how long they made us wait.

I've yet to see the magic "tweaks" as well, still plenty of ai problems, shooting is still so so, and passing/ball-control is shockingly bad and slow.

If this is the last patch, this is the last time I play this game, and the last time I trust Infogrammes.

hehe just adding my 2 cents:
the patch still leaves the gameplay in UC miles behind the class of ISS's gameplay.
UC is certainly more playable, but Im after GAMEPLAY mainly - So Iss2 is still easily the best futbol simulation experience.
These PC games like Fifa and UC(which is alot better than Fifa IMO) are too arcade-like. Not alot of thought required.
ISS is totally different, u must think futbol - not wat the PC game can and can't do.

I am glad to hear it is not you - but some1 did.. funnily enuff it was always posts to do with ppl's displeasure with UC.
Ah thats right! my post in here titled "freedom of speech please" was deleted - very disappointing...
I hope all comments can be heard - afterall this forum supports freedom of speech doesnt it?
