LOST TALK...

As usual Lost episodes bring ten more questions with each answer :D

Wasn't too overwhelmed by the season opener. I think it's getting a little too messy and complex for its own good what with all the groups, all the timelines and now the parallel timelines, a trend I feel started around season 4.

Hard to really judge it though as it depends where they intend to go with it.

Did you guys catch last night's episode?

Season's starting to enter cruising speed, and I'm at a stage where they could just show a 45 minute clip of a turd and I would still think it was awesome! And the good thing is that they aren't! (H)

Just finished season 4 of The Wire. It's without a doubt the best season of any show I've seen in my life.

Watched Freaks & Geeks. Shame it got cancelled.
x2
quality show
When they first aired this on Australian TV they played it at around midnight, just coz they weren't expecting much in the way of ratings. Thank Goodness for cable.

I don't think I've ever liked a character as much as Bill Haverchuck. Also, it's refreshing to see a show with relateable high-school situations instead of the usual geeks & jocks rivalries. Frankly, I've never found that appealing because it's not as prevalent outside of the US. The show's funny too, not a lot of shows are anymore.

On that note, Better Off Ted is pretty funny.

I would argue that Season 3 is better.

Yeah Freaks and Geeks was a great show. I remember watching it when it first aired, but I must have been the only one. I think Franco played one of the best "cool" characters in the first few episodes that I've ever seen although it tails off when we start learning about his life and he becomes vulnerable. And how about that comedic cast? Franco, Segel, and Rogan? Damn.

Great cast, especially when you consider all the great cameos on the show, like Ben Stiller. Martin Starr made that show, though. I think Franco was great so long as he wasn't the focus of the episode, that whole punker episode was probably the worst one for me. His Carlos the Dwarf bit is excellent, though.

The George Bush episode was just legendary.

Daniel Desario (Franco): George Bush is coming to speak to the school.
Nick (Segel): The Porn star?
Ken (Seth): The Vice President of the United States of America. George Bush.

Ken: Amy's not really a girl.
Nick: Wuh?
Ken: I mean she is.. she's a girl, but she's kinda part guy too.
Daniel: What's that mean?
Ken: It means that when she was born... she was packing both a gun, and a holster.

*awkward silence*

Nick: um..um.. does.. she still.. you know.. have the gun?
Ken: Nooo. The doctors.. took care of it.
Nick: OK, well then she's.. a girl.
Daniel: I don't think it works that way. I think you better get rid of her.
Ken: I don't wanna break up with her. I really like her. I might even... love her.
Daniel: Does that mean you're gay?

James Franco reminds me a little bit of Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street (how's that for a blast from the past?)

Season 3 was very good too, but I liked 4th a lot more; maybe because I haven't seen a chick as badass and ruthless as Snoop was in that season.

What about Californication? Season 3 was insane and the whole show is just hilariously entertaining (Y)

I think it has only aired for the first two seasons here, but it's definitely one of my favorite tv shows of the past few years, if not the favorite. Got to love the character of Hank Moody.

Finally finished watching Entourage. Best show ever. Aaah, the american dream.

Does anyone know if there will be a seventh season?
