I'm up for this in case there are enough participants to make it at least half fun.
Game mechanics will be basically the same as we had for the WC2014 draft:
- There will be 18 selection rounds, 11 for the starters and 7 for the subs.
Each participant will choose up to 18 players for their team: 11 starters + 7 subs (1 keeper, 2 defenders, 2 midfielders and 2 forwards), which can only be used in case of injuries or their NT being eliminated. Once you pick a replacement though, you are stuck with it and can't get back to your original selection.
- Any formations are valid as long as the players composing them are placed in their "natural" positions. We'll restrict player positions by what's listed on www.whoscored.com.
- Each player will get an 8 hour window to make their pick, according to their turn in the pecking order. In case someone misses a pick twice, their time window will be cut to 4 hours. If there's a third time, automatic skip from then on.
- Scores will be based on www.whoscored.com, and we'll exclusively consider the players' ratings.
At the end of each matchday, we check the players' ratings and add them up. In the end of the tournament the team that has the highest accumulated score is the draft winner.
