How to fix XBOX 360 controller in 2006 FIFA World Cup?

I mean, there is a issue with 2006 World Cup that when I run the game with plugged controller, interface goes nuts. Options are constantly changing for some reason.
The similar problem was in FIFA 07, but there is a fix for that here:

The problem is if I turn off this function, 2006 FIFA World Cup doesn't detect controller. Game thinks that only keyboard is used. How to fix that?
