It's been the longest time ever that we haven't had this famous thread. Post your current top 11.

Yeah I know Lahm is a DM now but I liked him when he played as wing back. Also, Mascherano when not wasted as a centre back is one of the best DM in the world as we have seen in the WC. Hummels is in there also because of his fantastic world cup.

I was considering Suarez but he had a poor start to the season.

Poor start to the season? He was suspended. Mine would be pretty similar, probably Suarez ahead of Aguero, but it's basically a coinflip. Aguero's suffering from his injuries. Pique instead of Hummels perhaps? Can't come up with anyone else from the top of my head right now, but my perception is that Hummels is not quite what he used to be. Maybe Matic instead of Mascherano, as he actually plays there. Modric instead of Kroos, without his injuries.

Not saying Suarez should be there, but letting him out because he's had a bad start of the season (suspended in August-Sept-October) but putting Hummels there because of his WC (June-July) sounds wrong.

Alaba has been injured, Hummels has been poor this season and Aguero wasn't exaclty good even after WC. Kroos? Seriously?

And no, you can't call that a bad start for Suarez.

Yes 26 goals in 33 League games is bad ...

Aguero is a great striker with the misfortune to be around at the time when, for the first time in football history, people don't care so much about strikers.

He went like 10 games scoring 1 goal or something. He was however still making assists but was far from the Liverpool Suarez.

I did not take his 4 months ban into consideration at all. His form was poor when he started for Barcelona and this is the general consensus also in the media.

Boateng is better than Hummels. This is not in doubt at all in Germany.

Could be. Boateng is a good candidate also. Ramos is also solid.

Hummels was the worst player in both teams vs Juve both games

Last time I saw of him was the WC 2014 TBH.

Even an injured Alaba is by far the best left back in the world.

Yes, again, I did not watch him much for Real Madrid where he played out of position as a DMF throughout the season. When played in his proper position, he is one of the best midfielders. Yes, worldclass, better than Rakitic.

Ok, if we don't count injuries, then this:

Suarez
Ronaldo Messi Robben
Busquets Modric
Alaba Pique Silva Lahm
Neuer

He has at least 2 other mids at Madrid I'd pick in a best XI team ahead of him any time.

This is mine. It wouldn't work in real life, but none of those UEFA Best XI would.
