WC Matchday 12: [FRA v RSA] + [MEX v URU] + [GRE v ARG] + [NGA v KOR]

Messi aint doing much every time he touches the ball 10 players crowd around him....just negative tactis from the greeks....

Quick update for you guys; England are 125/4, chasing Australia's total of 267 with 24 overs to go.

The Argentina game has been a borefest thanks to Rehhagel's men, even cricket is looking good in comparison.

How's Messi doing ? I'm watching Nigeria vs. Korea
Being swamped by Greek defenders, still forced a couple of top notch saves from the Greek keeper.

Argentina's reserve forwards are better on paper than the regular strikers, but having problems so far getting through the opponents bus.

On the other hand, Argentina's defence is a joke, Samaras on his own is causing all sorts of havoc, four defenders can't even cut out long balls to a single striker.

Sounds like Korea-Nigeria is a much better game.

I can't imagine how did he miss that..!!!!!!
Yakubu missed the easiest chance in history .. 4 yards away from the goal line .. alone .. no gk .. no defenders .. controlling the ball & he missed it..!!!!

You gotta watch it guys

Dream over for Greece, Martin Demichelis slots the ball into the back of the net from a corner. No way back now.

Hope S.Korea can hold in the other game, Asia needs a good result after last night's 7-0 disaster.

Gooooaaaal Argentina, Martin Palermo adds the second, Greek defence is well and truly falling apart.

Argentina's first goal involved a handball, the ball ricochet off Diego Milito's hand into Demichelis's path, but doubt anyone cares now.

The better two teams of the group are through.

I'm glad Greece are out. They were so annoying to watch with their negative tactics..

I guess Greece's 9-0-1 formation didn't work. Nice to see Palermo scoring still remember him missing a hat-trick of penalties at the Copa America.

Yakubu's open goal miss is one for the blooper reel.

Most their ageing squad won't make it to another tournament, so that might be the last we'll see of Greece for some time.
Big question now is who gets Rehhagel? Maybe send him to England, they can't get any worse atm.

I love the suggestion that he's handed across like some sort of inheritance or heirloom :D

unbelievable miss ... and all the more tragic that it has cost Nigeria a place in the 2nd round ... Martins then had a chance to set things right, but he put it wide too ... no one to blame but themselves, Nigeria ... one more African team going down fighting, but down nonetheless ... looks like it'll be at most 1 that will progress ... again, tragic ...

I think he'll retire, or stay on with Greece.

I was surprised to see such a tepid and uninspired outing from Mexico considering how much was riding on that game.

Would you rather face A) Argentina or B) South Korea/Nigeria/Greece?

Hmmm, let me think about that one...

You know they want revenge from that last outing by Argentina.. so they lost on purpose so they can have that chance. ;)
