This was the first time I watched the Indy500(LIVE on TV, ofcourse)...needless to say, it got me hooked on this race.


With about 2.5 laps to go, I remember how I kept saying to myself that he would probably need an extra lap to pass Unser. Turns out, that ONE MORE would probably have made the difference.

wow, that's pretty disturbing.. I can't even laugh at stuff like that

I also have to say that I think it's kinda unfair to always paint Americans with that stupid brush, because I think general ignorance is a worldwide problem these days. I've heard a lot of small town/uneducated Canadians say some pretty retarded things too.

I've had someone ask me what my "background" was, and when I told them Portuguese they looked at me puzzled (clearly didn't know that I was talking about) then said "uhh...Polish? That's in South America right??" and when I corrected them and said Portugal is a country in Europe, they had the nerve to say "are you sure about that!?"
