After some practice, I can finally say that i have mastered free kicks on all levels of difficulty. Now this strategy worked to perfection for me in the Xbox version but there shouldnt be any difference between them.

Now, in order for this to work to perfection about 90% of the time, the free kick must take place anywhere within the *s. Once you go to the right or the left of the *s, then the angle gets a bit diffucult but it can be pulled off and i have done it on several occasions. You can usually score most of the time from any distance from the goal where the other team sets up a wall with a good player (such as Beckam). Once it gets too far and the opponent doesnt set up a wall then its basicly impossible.
To make it easier to explain lets say that you are shooting from the right of the goal:
Once the wall sets up you must aim the arrow before the last guy on the right and just between the second to last guy (considering you are shooting fromt he right of the goal, if you are shooting from the left, then do the opposite):

DONT CURVE THE ARROW YET. Now that the arrow is positioned you must now move it up. Dont move it all the way up but pretty close to it. Its gonna look like the ball will go over the goal but it will work if done correctly. Now that the placing and heigth are set curve the arrow toward the goal. Since we are on the right, curve the arrow left. The arrow is going to be pointing way to the left and its gonna look like you'll miss the goal completely but it will work.
In terms of power, i try to get the power meeter to the third to last green slot (two before the red). If everything is done correctly you will score just about every time. I have scored in the hardest difficulty on many of the top keepers.
Now i have the luxury of having the Xbox version so i just start a game with two controllers controlling each team and take the ball to one end and take my other controller and foul the guy. For those who have a PC its gonna be kinda hard to practice, but once the opportunity arises in the game, try it and it will work, i guarantee it.
