How To Fix The Slow Motion In PES 3 - Here!

First of all let me tell you my system specs so you know if you can use my fix too:
Pentium III
Windows XP
992 MHz
512 MB of RAM
Ge Force 2 MX 400 64 MB (yeah GeForce 2!)

Well, let me tell you that I didn't find this way to fix it I've just read other posts-

First Step:
Go to Start>Run>dxdiag then select the 'SOUND' tab and set the sound acceleration to 'Basic Acceleration'.

Second Step:
Go to http://download.guru3d.com/rivatuner/ and download taht proggie.

Third Step:
Run it and in 'Driver Settings' click on 'Customize...' and select the icon with an 'X' (the DirectX one), after that select the VSync tab and select 'Always Off'.

Now run PES 3, and what I've done is set the resolution to 640x480 and the details level to LOW, and it run gr8!
Just to try, I've set the details to MEDIUM and it kept on going well, a bit (just a little bit) slower but still gr8!
Now I'm gonna try setting it to HIGH and see what happens, if it still runs fine I'll try changing the resolutions.

Remember to:
-Download DirectX 9, from www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/ downloads/default.asp
-Download the latest drivers for your graphics card.

That's it!
Let me know how it did for you ;)

So much things to run a game worst than FIFA in requirements... KONAMI continues to make bad releases...

Ok thanks man :D I got a better card so it should work for me, I m working on it now. I will let you guys know the results..

I got a solution too

Hey plz read the following.

I had smooth gameplay from the beginning, but just recently I installed FRAPS and all went fcucked up.
All of a sudden i got slow motion gameplay as everybody mentioned.
So i watched in taskmanager what was using so much sources of my pc. It was McShield from Mcafee virusscan. So i Disabled Mcafee and the cpu usage went down to 3%. Now my pes3 runs smooth as before.

So people check your virusscan and disable it.

Well, it IS true that Anti Viruses slow your system down, but it's not the real problem of PES 3.
And about FRAPS, well... FRAPS is a Video-Registration program and it does use LOT of your PC source because it has to 'get' into the program your running. And it uses much more resources when the program you're running is a DirectX based one, like PES 3.
The actual problem is that if you haven't got a SUPERB PC you won't be able to have SUPERB graphics either.
I like how PES3 is working for me now and I like FIFA as well, but the difference is that FIFA doesn't need all those setting, and PES3 does... even though that PES3 is new to PC so the code might get better in future versions.
Hope the tricks work for everyone!

See ya!

"Get into the program you're running"?
FRAPS has to take hundreds of screenshots every minute, then convert them into video form. That will slow down any computer.

Hi,
I just got the PES3 demo and had the same slow down problem at times..my system specs are as follows:

Processor:Intel P4 2.2Ghz
Memory:2GB RDRAM
Gfx Card:Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti500 64MB(latest 4.5.23 drivers)
Directx 9.0b

The game runs smoothly and perfectly on the default resolutions but when I try to go up to the max I get the slow down prob..any solution for that?

May aswell post this here as the other threads are gettin a bit bloated.

If you are getting inconsistent speed, ensure you haven't overridden the refresh rates in the Direct3D panel of your display properties

for Nvidia
Right click desktop->Properties
Will bring up display properties->settings tab->advanced->geforceti4400 tab
A small menu should now be displayed beside your main display window if not d/load the latest drivers for your card
On the side menu geforce4ti4400->Performance and Quality settings->Direct3d settings->Refresh Rate Overrides
ensure "applications control refresh rate" is selected, then ok.

Demo now runs perfectly on my Athlon 1.333ghz, 356 mb sdram, Gf4ti4400 @ 1024x768

I haven't read all the threads on slow down, but I wonder if it's a memory problem. My specs
P4 2gig
Geforce 4400ti 128 mb
256 ram
The games in slo mo on 1024x768, but it runs well on 800x600, Quincunx AA, AF 8x. Maybe another 256megs of ram would help?

i cant find it in my settings. i have radeon 7500 and dont see any options like that... anyone help?

I have a mobility radeon 7500 with 16MB of memory.

When the demo try to render any polygon the program close itself without any message.

I have tried anything but with no success.

I have the latest drivers and i have tried with all possible configurations but it still crash in that way.

have you any ideas?

Hey Fede,
I was really happy when I read your post, coz I've got same card like you. I've done almost everything like you described, exept of that sound settings. In my menu there's a Sound 1, a Sound 2 menu and a Music menu, but I couldn't find 'Basic Acceleration' ... And so your trick doesn't work for me :( ... Any solutions for that ?? Would be very nice.
BTW: Which Detonator are you using ? Give a link plz ...;)

for all ati radeon users

its definately got something to do with refresh rates.
i have radeopn9700

what i did is goto display properties > settings > advanced > displays > select you monitor > Refresh rade override > change refresh rate

Worked for me. I set it to 85hz. Just play with these settings and find the best rate for your pc.

Now i can play with res 1024x768 again
A higher res also worked, but the game was a tad slower than, not real slow motion though.
