Best is the modern footballer. The one you see now, on and off the pitch. He was 50-60 years ahead. Vision of the game, progression, continuous pressing on the entire defense, plays and dribbling impressive strokes of genius. He could play today's football and dictate the law. In a slow football he was as fast as today's footballers. But unlike today, the more they beat him the more he stayed on his feet.Although i won´t question the focus on pre XXI football for obvious reasons, i wanted to ask: why Best at 3? I know that he was great, but i wouldn´t say that he´s era defining.
The strongest player I've ever seen is Ronaldo, the phenomenon. Damn knees...For my grandfather Pele was Pele, For my father Pele was Maradona, For me Pele Was Ronaldinho. And I dont want kids, because of Raheem Sterling (or someone else)![]()
Agree (Best ST LF RF CF)The strongest player I've ever seen is Ronaldo, the phenomenon. Damn knees...
impressive. The day he made his Serie A debut (Inter-Brescia 31 August 1997) I was at the stadium... in Cagliari to watch Cagliari Treviso (Serie B ) But I spent the whole time with the radio to my ear waiting for Ronaldo's goal. For the record. Ronaldo didn't score but Recoba fired two long-range nuclear warheads towards Brescia's goal. And... always for the record Cagliari won 2-0 goals by Banchelli and Villa XDAgree (Best ST LF RF CF)
Not that I said there weren't players with incredible flair. I'd personally add Jay-Jay Okocha to the list.Savicevic and Gascoigne when they wanted to play were very close to that Ronaldinho. They were a joy to watch. All three were spectacular. But all three of them didn't last long or often withdrew from the game. Three intermittent geniuses
Marek Koźminski played in that game, as Brescia's left back. Priceless reaction, when your goalie got nukedimpressive. Here are the Recoba ICBMs
Ronaldinho and Ricardo Quaresma (mainly during his time at Porto) were one of the few players who used freestyle movements in field football. What is most impressive is that it is something historically rare and DIFFICULT to do even today. What is most impressive is that we had a rare "alignment of planets" because we also had plastic players who shocked both football and ice hockey (Ilya Kovalchuk) and Mike Vick (gridiron football) also in the 2000s.Ronaldinho is pure magic. Although his time at the top was short-lived, it's often attributed to his laid-back attitude (parties, etc.) and lack of seriousness. If he had been as dedicated as, say, Cristiano Ronaldo... ..He would have dominated everything... just my two cents.
Recoba was also brilliant... Dont remember wich game and season (20**) but inter was losing and people were going home 2-3 minutes earlyer. Then Recoba came from chair and Inter Won...impressive. 100%... For me football is Quaresma... he gave something fresh and great beauty to football. and Football Is Totti, Whole life in Roma...Ronaldinho and Ricardo Quaresma (mainly during his time at Porto) were one of the few players who used freestyle movements in field football. In the 90s there were plenty of players with all the flair, I call them elves. Hassler, Moller, Litmanen, Mini Jakobsen, Stojkovic, Okocha himself to name a few at random. This type of player literally broke the game. You waited for these players. You waited for their play because you knew it would come. This type of player is missing in today's football. You partly see them in Yamal and Musiala. Players capable of attracting the defense around them and in this way creating spaces for other players. Players who from nowhere find space for progression, assists and often a shot on goal. All the teams before had players capable of doing something like that. Pescara had Rocco Pagano. Maldini said that in his career the one who suffered the most was Rocco Pagano! One expects who knows what champion. And yet Maldini suffered the "elf" of Pescara. Right winger all dribbling, not a champion but one who made defenses explode...Not that I said there weren't players with incredible flair. I'd personally add Jay-Jay Okocha to the list.

I can't tell you. Maybe it's some distortion of some Italian word or a surname. I have the film, which I have in my collection, with the Italian dubbing. So I don't know exactly what it says in the original version. When in doubt... Leave the gun, take the cannoli.Giggi always had question and then I'll go to sleep... Offcourse you know the movie Godfather... There are Screaming Amarcato (something like this)... What this word means?
