Riverside?!?! Like what, I drive by there everyday when I'm going to school and there isn't anything worthwhile to do, unless you're talking about some other Riverside. Spring Break starts the 28th so the beaches should be packed then (that's when it is at my school anyway). About places to buy soccer stuff, maybe if you visit one of the Niketowns around here (there's one on Wilshire Blvd. in West LA) you'll find some stuff, otherwise there aren't many places. Sunset strip in Hollywood is pretty cool and the beaches of course, you should probably go to the Santa Monica pier, they've got a lot of stuff to do there.

What the fuck? First of all, its not in the desert, its about an hour drive to go from LA to the desert. Of course there are bums, every major city has them. I take offence to you calling it a piece of shit (mainly because I was born and raised there) but like every major city, it has its positives and negatives and yes, the police is definitely fucked up.
