but to be honest I think South America deserves a chance to host this time around, then 2018 looks like it could head back to Europe and England, but hopefully we will at least get it by 2022...

I'd think the same one too. South America deserve it to be the host for the WC 2014.

There was a rumor of the Saudis wanting a world cup, but there's no way in hell that would work. It'd be WAY too hot along with other things.

HAHAHA! man, i've been living in saudi for the last 20 years, and let me tell you, there is no way in HELL that they could host the world cup, or any other big int'l event. the country can't even host regional events, much less global ones. Forget being hot man, there would be so many religious issues such as western women wearing shorts etc that would cause chaos in the country. plus, if Israel managed to qualify for the world cup....hahahah! Yeah, let's just say that wouldn't go over well!

I'd love it if USA gets it although highly unlikely due to being to close with 1994. If we do that would be great couse all the money i would have spent for tickets and accomodations somewhere in south Ameica i would spent in getting tixs here, boston and Philadelphia

How about Baltic States 2018? it'd be 100 years since independence in 1918 and having small distances to travel they'd be great logistically for hosting

I hear ya.

In my opinion, I think Australia should host the World Cup.
Just look at the job the cons did with the Sydney Olympics, the stadium and the city in general was perfect to host a sporting event of that magnitude, and I feel they would take a bigger world event in their strides.

I also feel that the World Cup 2014 in Australia would be a good idea as footie is starting to really take off their, and the country already has some fairly good stadiumns in place which are able to cope with the demand. (Although some stadiums would need work on).

Mind you, if we get the WC 2014 as it seems to be likely, there will be *lots* of trouble to solve. It will be really intresting to see what will become of Rio PanAm games to assess our current affair of things.
