South Africa has the best papers...
But Tunesia showed their organizing skills...
With the African Nations Cup...
Think it'll be close...
Between the both of them...:p

I expect most people in Portugal want Morocco. It would basically be Portugal 2010.

South Africa all the way! Morocco doesnt have half the ability of South Africa. What have Morocco ever hosted to be capable of organising a WC? And have you actually looked at their stadiums....and then looked at South Africa's? They cant even be compared. And dont give me that "we'll build stadiums", nonsense. South Africa have the stadiums NOW with plenty of time to make them even better.

Well, to be honest, I don't know much about South Africa stadiums. But I do know about Morocco's and they are pretty good! Also, I've been there and it is a developed country, with good conditions. I think they (as Tunisia - they organized a great ANC - or Egypt) have the conditions to host a WC.

Still, as I said, South Africa also is a very good possibility (perhaps even better than the others). Anyway, they are not the ones I prefer. Portugal also got Euro 2004 and Spain had better conditions, so this isn't a decisive factor. Taking what you said, what have South Africa organised more than Morocco? From what I know, nothing, they only organized African Nations Cup, like Morocco.

But I don't undertand why you are saying it would be Portugal 2010... Just because it's close to us? Ok, then France 98 would have been Spain 98 or Germany 98... Don't see your point, really.

Nakamura, as far as i'm aware; the climate is the same as Portugal, the time zone and the travel time is virtually nil. Hence; basically Portugal 2010.

South Africa have hosted the ANC, All Africa Games, Rugby WC, Cricket WC and Confenderations Cup. All in the last 10 years. Where have you been?

South African Stadia:

Cape Town Newlands Stadium 50 900:

Port Elizabeth EPRFU Stadium 33 852:

Johannesburg FNB Stadium 90 000:

Qwa Qwa Charles Mopeli Stadium 50 000:

Bloemfontein Vodacom Park 36 538:

Johannesburg Ellis Park 59 611:

Pretoria Securicor Loftus 52 000:

Johannesburg Johannesburg Stadium 37 500:

Durban ABSA Stadium 55 000:

Plus: The Odi Stadium (60k) and numerous other 20-40k stadiums.

Now compare the above with Morocco. Infact, compare it with what Morocco are planning aswell.

Spain is more near of Morocco then Portugal. A flight from Lisbon to Casablanca is around 1h30m. The spanish have cities inside the moroccan territory. So i think it will be more a Spain 2010...
About the stadiums, what really matters is the projects. South Africa could have great stadiums now but Morocco could built stadiums too. Portugal before the Euro2004 had 3 good stadiums, now that stadiums are demolished and we have 10 great stadiums.

Well, just like I said: then, France 98 could be Spain 98 or Germany 98; USA 94, could be Canada or Mexico 94. That doesn't make much sense to me. Also, like Punkt said, Spain is more similar to Morocco than Portugal, but still, I wouldn't call it Spain 2010 either.

I was talking specifically about football competitions organized by those countries. It's not the same as organizing another sports competition. Of course, it's still helpful and gives organizing experience.

Anyway, like I said before: Portugal managed to be the host for Euro 2004 and Spain had far better conditions and far more experience.

But hey, it's my opinion, ok? You have yours, I have mine. That's fine! :)

Exactly, I totally agree with you.

guyz u r just talking about morocco,South Africa & skipping egypt ?!!

1st of all i'm pretty sure that Tunisia & lybia will leave the hosting competition so early

now lets compare Egypt Morocco & South Africa

ok i'm egyptian but i agree that stadiums in South r better than egypt
but y they r better ?cuz just of the capcity
here in egypt we got alot of stadiums but with low capacity like 20,000 & 25,000 but we also got big stadiums like cairo stadium
we ve started building 3 more stadiums
1st has capcity of 80,000
2nd & 3rd ve 60,000

so now a big advantage for egypt & morocco is the location of both countries
morocco is near 2 europe but egypt is in between
near 2 europe & asia
while SA is 2 far away ...

egypt stadiums r much better than those in morocco

Also the tourists come 2 egypt every yr r alot much more than those who go 2 morocco

egypt hosted world cup b4 in 1997(under 17)
hand ball world cup
alot of competitions & tournaments & gonna host cup of african nations in 2006 ...

i wish best luck 4 the best bid
& i think egyptian bid is the best
