I've got to start being more vary of films which bandy Quentin Tarantino's name about.

It is well known Tarantino was just an executive producer You should have not expected his touchs in a directing or a screenwriting.

Yeah, I know that, but I also know that Quentin has phenominal taste in movies, so I always just assumed that I'd like anything he'd like. It was his name that first drew my attention to Hero, so that was a big success, but I was only moderately impressed with Killing Zoe, which I only bought cos it bore his name, and now pretty disappointed with Hostel.

Sir_Didier_Drogba, did I express correctly? I mean, is it possible to use the should have + v3 construction in the negative? I don't think I've ever heard it used this way...

Interesting. I've heard of Miike, but I'm not sure if I've seen any of his films. I'll check it out. I do quite like ultra violent screwed up asian films, like Oldboy and Audition, though generally speaking I prefer it comically over the top, a la tarantino, ruthlessly gritty, eg Peckinpah, or rediculously derranged, eg Greenaway.

Takashi Miike is amazing. Ive watched only Gozu and Ichi the Killer from him and those are excellent, terrifying stuff

I like the gore and stuff as I've said, but I'm actually a little terrified of "Ichi the Killer".
