No Nedved has announced he will return to the national team because he wants to be part of the World Cup for the first time in his career.

I don't really care who the masses favor that was just my opinion, I believe that the Czech Republic have the second best shot of winning the tournament.

Man, Canada's overrated. Some people would like it, like middle aged men and women. Me though, I only like sports (and alt rock).

In the city which I live in, people aren't into sports. They're all wannabe "Gangsta's" and Pimp's. Not as many of them play hockey as you think (I'm one of the only ones in my neighbourhood along with my brother).

In my high school, I've only met one other person other then myself who knows how to play the rugby or watches rugby and he graduated a couple years ago. He play soccer now for a Pro Swedish club in the 2nd division their.

Barely anyone knows cricket.

Not a very big soccer fanbase, only one of my friends follows soccer and that's because he's from Austria. A few other's of them play once in a while.

Sports like Rugby aren't on TV as much (I have to wake up at 7 or 8 in the morning to watch it on the weekends)

No formula one fans at all

They think that the world's most popular sport is American Football and they don't even play it. When I tell them that Rugby's the second most popular sport in the world, they looked shocked.

Kids here just play video games and watch reality TV-losers.

I know for a fact that it's not completely like this in Europe and Oceania.

Well I don't know what you think of New Zealand. It's full of old people and wannabe "gangstas" and such too. There's an insane amount of rugby everywhere and all the time, and the soccer in some places is embarassingly disorganized and in some places you can't even play from what I've heard. Everyone knows cricket down here, except for all the foreigners of course. A typical sports season for a New Zealander is cricket in summer and rugby in winter. That's what 70% of T.V throughout the year is(cricket and rugby), even ESPN shows cricket (which totally blows by the way). If you think the soccer fanbase is small over there, then it's non-existant down here. There's not much to do, so heaps of people just get smashed every single weekend. I've never even heard of anyone talking about Formula 1 here. Some people here actually hate soccer with a passion and 1 guy actually wanted to beat me up when I told him soccer was much more popular than rugby and that it was the most popular sport in the world. If you go out for a party at night and get drunk, make sure yu travel in a really big group and watch yourself or you'll more than likely be beaten up by some huge, fatass drunk Polynesian(people from the Pacific region) all pissed off for no reason. Everyone I know or have spoken to has been in a situation like this and few weren't actually beaten up. So you're better off in Canada.

I guess that we have similar problems in Canada and New Zealand then henry14. It's just that the drunk problem you're talking about doesn't exsist here. At least people like, watch, and play Rugby and Cricket even though you've got a pretty small population. Here on a Wednesday, I'm probably gonna be the only dude on my street along with my brother playing hockey or soccer or rugby or cricket,etc. A few of them might be playing Basketball though.
