Widescreen support for PES/WE PC

Solved the widescreen (aspect ratio) problem for PC version!
For PES5/WE9/WE9LE only for now, since unlike some other lucky gamers, i haven't gotten PES6 yet... ;)

Soon to follow: new version of lodmixer module which will have a flag to enable/disable aspect ratio correction.

(Looking at screenshots posted on various forums, it appears that PES6 PC has pretty much inherited the graphics engine from PES5, which is bad on one hand, but on the other hand, it could mean that it will be easier to make kitserver 6)

thanks, Da Kid. :)
yeah, probably not too many people will be interested in this particular update. But, when i get my pes6, i'll know how to fix the widescreen modes there (if the rumors are true and the aspect ratio is still not adjusted in pes6)

thanks, guys.

john,
to answer your question: yes, for the windowed play, choose 1280x768 or 1280x800 or whatever other widescreen mods PES gives you (depends on the graphics card that you have). For fullscreen play, if you use dxtools.dll - you can set the resolution in kload.cfg to whatever you monitor supports. For example, mine is 1920x1200. So whenever i switch to fullscreen, that's the resolution that is enforced, and the lodmixer does the aspect ratio correction for that.

AndreaSpooky,
is it not working for you? Windowed or fullscreen or both?

vankogiru,
is pretty easy to find... but if you can't, give me your email.

juce mine kload.cfg write:

# DirectX options
dx.force-SW-TnL = 0
dx.emulate-HW-TnL = 0
dx.fullscreen.width = 1280
dx.fullscreen.height = 768

but tha game run in 1024 x 768!!! what im doing wrong?

you still need to switch to fullscreen mode. You're doing that, right? (Alt+Enter, or choose it in the game's Options/Screen menu). Perhaps, your graphics card doesn't support 1280x768 in fullscreen... check that.

also, check if dxtools is enabled in your kload.cfg

ok this is my kload.cfg

# Loader configuration file

gdb.dir = ".\"

DLL.num = 8
DLL.0 = "kitserver\zlib1.dll"
DLL.1 = "kitserver\libpng13.dll"
DLL.2 = "kitserver\kserv.dll"
DLL.3 = "kitserver\bserv.dll"
DLL.4 = "kitserver\fserv.dll"
DLL.5 = "kitserver\lodmixer.dll"
DLL.6 = "kitserver\stadium.dll"
DLL.7 = "kitserver\dxtools.dll"

# DirectX options
dx.force-SW-TnL = 0
dx.emulate-HW-TnL = 0
dx.fullscreen.width = 1280
dx.fullscreen.height = 768

how to check if dxtools is enabled ?

it's enabled. (no "#"-mark at the beginning of the line with dxtools.dll)
so what resolution do you have configured in the game itself?
