the subject is 4-3-3 cheat tactic..

ive tried about 15 different tactics in about 15 diff games, its interesting to see how they all go, im monitering closely... and ill play the 4-3-3 against a non active side this week to try and get some goals under my belt, but ill have my own tactic for friendlies... ill only play the 4-3-3 if my opponent is using the same... as i havent found a way to counter it rather than to use the same tactic and hope my players play better...

I always read your replies with interest but I can't be bothered to pick numerous holes in your argument as it is clear that we will never agree on this tactic.

Also interested to see that you have finally sunk to the depths of having a go at my team. I found it really amusing by the way.

I would of course love to play you in a friendly but I accept your team is better than mine and that you would probably win both games. Forget me playing the cheat tactic though. That would never happen again

And its hardly surprising your team is better than mine is it? You've been playing the game a lot longer and were able to take advantage of all the early problems. Its the only reason you are in the premiership and i'm not. Nothing to do with quality management. My team will be in the top leagues soon and hopefully by then the simulator will be a lot fairer than it is today.

I have been reading about everyone's view on the "Cheat Tactic" and as a new team owner I am alittle confused about the anger it has created. Isn't the idea of simulated futbol to play a game similar to the real one? Some teams (successful or not) use the 4-3-3 tactic in real life but in MZ that tactic is considered bad? I am not sure what the non 4-3-3 players want to have as a successful tactic instead? I would rather see a team use the 4-3-3 than a 2-5-3 or 1-3-6 and so on....... It seems to me that the non-futbol tactics that might win in MZ are a bigger issue because they wouldn't have a chance in real life. This is just my opinion and I realize I am a new owner and not as familar with the game as many of you.

It's a special variant of the 4-3-3 where the defence are pushed right up to the line that divides defence and midfield on the tactics screen.

This makes it difficult to score goals, as the opposition strikers are trapped in a primitive offside rule where they won't shoot.

It's apparantly fair because in real life teams play the offside trap. Although in real life strikers would not stand 10 yards offside waiting for the ball, if the defence was pushed right up.

O.K. I think I understand alittle bit better now. Is that the tactic that makes it appear as if the other team has 7 midfielders?

in the most extreme cases it does that yes. Although it works with them just low enough down to appear as defenders. (they still appear as defenders on the statistics page, but the tactic works in the same way as it would with 7 midfielders)

To add to that in real life there actually is offside while in mz there is not. Though it's all about progress and when we get rid of this tactic at the end of the season then we can start mentioning the word offside when refering to mz.
