What is right with fifa 2004?

z game is comin in three days for me, now i dont know what to do, but hey, u all said 2003 was the worst game ever, im still playing and enjoying it so that gives me some hope 
I've enjoyed every FIFA game I have ever played, and it wasn't until I found these boards that I heard anything negative about them. I think people have too much time on their hands, and this years game will be good just like all the others have been.
I cannot wait to see the new smaller stadiums, and the AOL Arena. I think they did a great job adding small stadiums this year so that yuo are not always playing in a bix stadium like last year.

Here's my 2 cents for the original problems:
Players skin color not right
- For some players, yes. Bothers if they're in your fav. club, but otherwise its quite irrelevant, unless of course a large amount of players look completely bonkers.
No Multi player regular season mode
- Doesn't bother me, if I play with more than one team, I play in tournaments, not seasons. And all my friends have a life, so they don't want to play games with me.
No world cup
- Atleast you can edit tournaments. ****ty, but problem can be solved.
No creation center on PC/PS2
- How do you know? Last year it was late as well.
No player transfers only player swaps
- This is very gay. Seldom in football teams swap players, that is more likely in hockey.
Missing players from some squads
- Again, if there are only a hnadful of missing players, you should be able to live with it. Until CC arrives atleast.
Wrong kits for some teams
- Last year some teams had wrong kits, but since there were only a couple it didn't bother me. Possibly a licensing issue.
Stadium realism is wrong for some teams. Most recent example i heard was portsmouth.
- I have no idea what portsmouth's stadium looks like, so I would live on happily. The worst was last years generic olympic stadium, it had atleast 80,000 seats. How many teams have olympic style stadiums which seat 80,000 twats?
Have some teams players playing in the wrong postion
- Doesn't bother me that much.
Graphic glitches on both PC and PS2
- Happens.
No online feature for X-box
- Microsnot is evil, wohoooo!
Player ratings are not very good
- Hopefully can be changed. Unlike bad stadiums for a couple of teams, this is the first real problem.
No weather changes
- Lived with this one last year, so I can live with it this year. Hopefully it gets added next year, though.
Bad camera angles
- Don't fancy so.
Multi play career modem is not an option
- Don't care.
You can only play your friends in friendlys
- Are you sure?
Cant make your own cups
- You can edit existing ones, so it practically is the same thing.
The play is to slow
- You eat too much Prozac.
Thing vanish from time to time
- You use too much meth.
No selection of match ball
- Seriously, this can't worry anybody?
No full time or half time stats
- Meaning?

- Or too long. But the replays are pretty dumbly done in some cases.
cant round the keeper
- Yes you can.
cant chip the keeper
- True. But you can chip the ball over the keeper to score.
computer a.i only attacks down the middle
- In the demo.

- Not fully. Overall commentary is better.

- I don't see an important point in adding the Totti di Mare Diving Club into the game.
Computer only subs on injuries
- Subbing was better last year, yes, but the computer subs tactically as well.
cant sprint past players, if u get past the catch up real easy
- Lack of skill.
P.K system is better on older versions
- Better than in 2003.

When a product is poor others will spread the word to help them avoid a bad decision.
EA acts like thier game is hot ****, these people are simply telling everyone what it really is.
It's not ruining for everyone else...It's called education, not complaining.
I don't know about you but I sure as hell don't have a month to waste on a game that I can't stand playing for even a few hours.
Play the game, practice, play on harder levels.

I have only experienced PES 3 demo so far on a crap PC, so everything was on ultra slow motion, but even with that there were some things that I liked, it actually gave a chance to study in detail how the AI was working, so I look forward to playing it on a real PC.
Dismiss most of this petty crap you have read about Fifa, trust me it is a good fun game to play.

These Konami sluts are everywhere except their own forum.
When you sell as many units of the game as EA does, you have a right to think you are hot sh*t. Until PES can even remotley catch up to EA, then this isn't an argument.

About reviews, I haven't rad any bad reviews about the game from "real" websites who actually know things about games. The things that people are complaining about are very trivial, and some people are just ignorant about how to play the game. Like volley kicks, dibbling, beating defenders.. You can do all of that stuff, but not after 1 hour of playing.
I think the game will be fantastic, but this thread has already caused people to think about cancelling their orders because of the nonsense posted here. It's just lame and I have had enough of it.

Conry8 has some great perspective on the game. I agree with him completely. Also "you vcan only play your friends in friendlies" that has to be wrong. I play a super turnament with all the club teams that I bracket myself but use the friendly feature for the games. If I can't play against the AI I cant talk my friends into this big a turnament and won't buy the game.

I however own both WE6 and FIFA03 and enjoy them very much i am a complete soccer gaming not.
WE6, FIFA 03, MLS EXTRA TIME, WORLD TOUR SOCCER 2002 AND 2003, CHAMPIONSHIP MANAGER and just some of the games i own.
I also work for a software company and i know first hand being a tech support how much people want there own damn freaken customed software when it cant really be done.
Of course people have a choice to return the game if they dont like it, But at some point the options within the game have to be set to a standard.
No cups, No multi player league are features they had in the past now removed, to some people no big deal, to others it huge.....what can i say...each to there own.
All i want is for some people to say.....The "BLA BLA" when u do "bla bla" beat the pants out of any other soccer game.

after all this is said and done I trust professional reviews over anything else. So all I really know is that I havn't read a single negative review from any game expert in any magazine or website, and thats good enough for me. People hate certain games and love others, thats the way of the world. All minor problems aside I'll probably really enjoy fifa, again.
Well that game is only $70AU so it's not really much and i can just take it back if i dun like it, But i have enjoyed fifa since Fifa 99 and im looking forward to 2004. If you already have the game on pc wait for the patch coming out and it should fix many things because ea have been getting complaints etc so expect that to be fixed. I will give PES 3 a go to see what it's like but i will always like the fifa series of games
The tournaments thing has got to be false. Did people complain gbaout the FIFA World Cup game they put out a couple years ago? IN that one you couldn't do anything but play the World Cup! That actually did piss me off.
And hey, that MLS Extra Time game was pretty cool. Is it sort of like PES in the early stages?
I don't think EA blew it as bad as people say, but it is VERY difficult to get straight answers on these boards. This version of FIFA this year could just be marketed as a "career mode" game, which is why the other stuff is missing.
