IMO if Ruud gets injured badly for like a couple of months and the CL's were to have started then Man U would really be weak on the attack and they would definately struggle....

well yea that's what i was saying. if he missed a match here and there or took a breather, the team will be fine. but i was talking more in terms of a major injury and if ruud had to miss a long period of time. then the team is screwed.

Forlan isn't an EPL-class starter, plain and simple, if van Nistelrooy gets hurt they might as well fight for a CL spot, cause the title and cups are gone.

It's a goo question. I also think that ManUtd are relying (how do you spell words that end on an "y" followed by "ing") too much on Van Nistelrooij. But we have capable stand-ins like Solskjaer and Forlan, I'd like to see Utd play with two real strikers by the way, in that case, you'd need another world class striker.
