France was very unimpressive today aginst Portugal but I am sure they will step it up for the finals.. IMO though, Italy are a more complete team with a better defense, although France has a good one. Midfield I would give the favortism to France, it's close though. Italy has Totti, Pirlo and Gattusso that cause tons of issues. I give midfield edge to France only because of Zidane. Attacking is close, but I think Italy attacks better as a team, better tactically. GK is a noncontestant argument, Buffon is the best GK in the world, Barthez has problems. If I was Lippi I would tell my guys to shoot tons of shots from the outside (Totti and Pirlo) because Barthez lets up plenty of rebounds for Toni to smash one home.
I think at the end, France will have issues defending counter attacks coming from Grosso and Zambrotta as well.
This is the just final though, these two teams are the most complete in the tourney. Italy wins 1-0 thanks to a Toni rebound goal.

Italy have been consistant all tournament , France have Barthez and their defence sometimes has lapses in concentration, Zidane was great against Brazil but didn't do much against Portugal. I think it will be a 1-0 win for Italy.
