Nah man....Rooney is just too important, too much class to not be involved in the World Cup. He needs to be on the big stage and I can't imagine him having to wait 4 years to get another World Cup chance. I hope England battle through and let him play in a semi or quarterfinal.

Wrong. If you're good enough to make it there without him you don't want to screw up team chemistry by trying to rehab Rooney for 90 minutes in the most important game of these guys lives.

Clubs need to start looking at these crap boots that players are wearing now. They might feel like you are wearing a pair of slippers but they offer no protection to the feet at all. How many metatarsal injuries has football had to witness since the boot design has "progressed"? This was the first time that Rooney had played in these Nike pieces of s.h.it. He got them on Tuesday amid the whole Nike advertising circus, and 4 days later breaks his toe. The boots must be a factor.
