Game looking good. Still not quite the depth of Chelmsford though. Would be great to start a game that low again - with a sugar daddy closer to this one (which seems much more realistic).

Pity we didn't win the league, we'll never get another chance to win this title!

We actually didn't win any of the lower leagues with Chelmsford until the Championship.

Are you next up for this game, Alex?

Alex, we started this game like a week ago, of course it doesn't have the depth of Chelmsford YET. You could provide it by playing now, though!

It'll never be the depth of Chelmsford because we've started much closer to the top - that was my point. There will be less years of promotion etc.

Shifty, not committing to any season at this stage. I'll keep watching a while.

I mainly remember Chelmsford when it had it's big stars, winning the Premiership, not lower levels.

Yeah, of course we remember that mostly - we were there longer. But I still look back fondly at some of our early stars, and the development years. That was all part of the story.

Paradoxically, the Chelmsford story gets harder to read as we advance further, because there are so many updates. It's exciting in the present tense, but looking back it's a little tedious to read.

Yeah, I enjoyed the beginning way more. Granted I had to learn as I went along because I didn't understand some aspects, but it seemed more exciting. Once the team turned really successful it kinda just felt like it was lumped together onto the dominance phase that never really ended.

Yeah, but that's the case with any successful - and therefore long running - succession game. It puts the success in succession :( :33vff3o: I'm sorry.

I think the beauty is in the present tense anyway. It's ok if somebody catches up a few seasons, but I doubt too many people would want to catch up on reading more than that in any succession game. They can just read the most recent seasons anyway, and take it from there.

Yeah exactly. It felt much more like pressure to keep the success going, and was almost boringly monotonous by that stage. It was really a matter of taking it in turns to advance the story, so that we could see what happened to the youngsters that we bought etc.

That's partly why I liked the idea of the Foreground Sugar Daddy only lasting until a couple of seasons after promotion to the top division..then going to background (where they still invest) for a few years, and then finally purely an underwriter (where all they do is prevent the side from going into debt basically). It would have kept the interest going for longer, because there would have been something to build.

By the end of the Chelmsford season, we just bought who we wanted, won when we wanted etc, and already had the best 20 players in the world.

We should play with Bilbao or the Korean Police team.

Alex, just take a turn with Lubeck. It's fun. You get to overhaul the entire team this year.

Na, I really don't have time the next week or so. Family visiting on the weekend.

That's totally fine, dude. Take your time. The pace has been absurd, we played three seasons in under 10 days.
