I liked how Rob Stone referred to it as a "crossover"
 Hoops hasn't started yet Mr. Stone.

My player grades:

Keller - 7.5 (solid when called upon)

Bocanegra - 8.5 (what more could you ask for?)
Berhalter - 7 (did alright defensively, could've scored one)
Pope - 8 (stepped up to win a lot of balls, made a couple of questionable clearances)
Hejduk - 7 (love the two-footed lunges)

Zavagnin - 8 (solid D, passing)
Lewis - 7 (great low cross to set up the fifth goal; mediocre outside of that)
Beasley - 7.5 (as usual, lots of energy on both sides of the ball)
Donovan - 9 (the guy is simply on a different level)

McBride - 7.5 (didn't score but dominated in the air, held up and distributed the ball well)
Wolff - 7.5 (looked threatening using his speed to get behind Panama's defense; nice assist on Donovan's goal)

Subs:

Johnson - 9 (not much more you can ask for from a sub)

Shifty, I must say you are playing the part of last night's referee to Frankie Hejduk's DaMarcus Beasley.

I don't think that this post makes any sense.

The drive to and back from NY to DC was sooo worth it.. man, what a game! Never seen so much dominance in one WCQ game! It was rediculous, I mean, not that the Panamanians suck... they're an ok team, its just we were so much better. I think with great coaching and tactic developement within the Panamanian team would improve their playing tremendously. Best players for Panama was number 10 and 2. If it wasnt for number 2, they would've 10 to 0. Two words, Eddie Johnson... what a player!

On a side note, this was my first time ever going to RFK stadium in DC and all I can say is, what a dump! Worst stadium i've ever been to... its dirty, smells, old, disgusting... no wonder the Redskins left that dump! I wont visiting that stadium any time soon.. unless of course the US has a very important game there with the mexicans. ;)

Wish I had watched more of this one. I switched to Sox-Yankees during the match and by the time I came back, I'd missed the last five goals.

Solid step towards qualifying. Awesome.

That's probably because United doesn't have the money necessary to make it not be dirty, not smell, not be disgusting etc...Go again next year when the Expos start playing there and watch it be all nice and clean etc etc....:(

funny thing, is that i love RFK, and most people think that it's a beautiful stadium. but it's true, it's kinda dirty and small. it wasn't like that when the redskins were playing there because the redskins make money.

Nah, RFK is ugly as it is but that's because it was built for football; it's gonna be worse in the srping after they remodel it for baseball. I hope the stadium at Poplar point will be awesome.
