And what happened to Argentina at the last World Cup again?

The world cup will miss the best generation of uruguayan players...
Some of the best wont be in another WC... :boohoo:
We wont get to see the Garra Charrua in Germany...and the class of Recoba, Forlan, Diogo..
The Rio de la Plata is sad today...our brothers are out...

Budge said:Great night eh boys? Great team effort all round, it should've been over before the 90 minutes but credit to Uruguay for hanging in. But I gotta say, feels great to be an Aussie.
Oh and Rob, we're gonna find a good pub and watch all the matches from there next year, kay? :B
Parra Power said:ive made my feelings known in the Oceania forum Socceroos thread. i just cant beleive it. i was in the bay directly behind the goal, the best night ever. i still cant believe were in..... its just incredible.
Ruben Sosa said:Ow.... you're betting on us finishing fifth again? That's harsh...
In any case, I think there'll be modifications in the Qualifiers for the next World Cup. I think it's likely the fifth CONMEBOL team will start playing CONCACAF.
And that's if we manage to keep that fifth spot after this elimination.
I don't see why not... the general consensus here is that, after the massive amount of mistakes we made in our WCQ (consecutive defeats at home to Venezuela and Peru, and a historic 0-5 defeat to Colombia), we were lucky to get this far. Obviously we would have liked to Qualify, but...
The outbursts from South Americans have been due to baiting from a certain Australian (we all know who I speak of) via derogatory posts of not only Uruguay but South America as a whole.
