So far Savic hasn't shone, so City may be in the market for another CB who can also play defensive mid.

I wouldn't mind him for Chelsea actually as a partner for Luiz, who has the pace to compliment him, or as a defensive midfielder to rotate with Romeu as he comes through.

Predictions for tonight?

Should be a good pair of matches. Everyone's new favourite club Athletic Bilbao playing Sporting Lisbon, but I actually fancy a good show from the Portuguese in the first leg and a narrow win for them.

Athletico vs Valencia..... on form you'd have to fancy Valencia, but my gut feeling is Athletico....

Surely the UEFA could have allocated two different time slots for the semis? Can't believe the extent to which they have underestimated the Europa league. It's played host to some really fascinating encounters over the last two years.

Really looking forward to the return/second legs, but a real shame we'll all realistically be following only one semifinal...
