The European Mickey Mouse Cup, yeah, still weird we don't have a thread about it.

Last years final in Dublin was between Porto and Braga, with Porto coming out as the winners.

This year, the final will be played in Bucharest, here:

The quarter-finals:

AZ - Valencia

Schalke 04 - Athletic Bilbao

Sporting - Metallist

Atletico - Hannover 96

The semi-finals:

AZ/Valencia - Atletico/Hannover 96

Sporting/Metallist - Schalke 04/Athletic Bilbao

I'd rate the Spanish/Basque teams and AZ higher than everyone else.
Atletico - Athletic final looks pretty possible to me...

Haha I was looking for this thread earlier and surprised it didnt exist - considering we have one for FC Toronto vs LA Galaxy.

I would agree with you, though Sporting have also looked decent. Such is the nature of this tournament that it could realistically be any one. I kind of hope it's Metallist, I love that name.

I would like to see Sporting getting far cause that would be good for Portugal, so hope they win Metalist. Everytime i read that team's name i remember this:



But yeah i would like to see a Sporting vs Athletic match, and then a Sporting vs Valencia final.

Would personally like a Sporting v Valencia final, though going by recent performances, Athletic v Atletico seems the most likely showdown.
