I'm sure Spain are delighted they scored two goals when we had ten men.

tbh, that third sub was unneccessary at that stage. big mistake by prandelli, perhaps too desperete.

yeah, but in best case scenario, Italy could make it 2-2, so having another sub was important for extra time.

I think it could be much closer result if it was 11 vs 11

The team was gassed anyways, wouldn't have made a difference. Di Natale scoring that chance would have given a better boost.

Do you think 4-0 will change Italian people and Media raaction to the team success?

Xavi was fantastic tonight, accurate passing + two assists and another goal set up.

Not really, like I said the scoreline flatters Spain. They had us beat at 2-0 with ten men anyways, they just decided to run up the score.

It's not like we didn't take the game to them.

Lol, Torres is the top-scorer!

Gotta be the worst performance in a tournament from a top-scorer.

Spain is just too damn good. Congrats to the Spaniards of this forum.

"Cielito lindo" being sang in the 63rd minute was just (H)!

I thought Montolivo played quite well in the 2nd half, he setup the Di Natale chance before he came off, unless he has fitness issues like Cassano, I'm quite puzzled to why Prandelli subbed him for Motta early in the 2nd half.

Surely Prandelli knows that Motta isn't a game changer or an attacking/creative player by any means.

Such a shame though, it was shaping up to be a decent game of football until the 58 minute mark.

On the plus side, it's nice to see the Chelsea boys on the scoresheet. Congrats to Spain.

I actually thought that was a real treat for the neutral (me) . Best performance I've seen from an international team ever if you take into account the competition.

12 goals scored - gained only 1... Torres the best scorer and Spain second time European champions. We can not like them as much we want, but this is amazing.

wow, Spain were incredible ... I was blown away by how they, from defence, were able to conjure an out-ball every time, and on the ground ...

I mean one can talk about bad luck for Italy with the injuries, or Prandelli's erroneous subs, but that would be wrong ... the story was all about arguably the best international team ever -- certainly the best I've seen ... shame about the scoreline getting skewed, but no shame in losing to such a historic team ... hats off to the Spanish, the deserving champions ...

Spain are just too damn good in this tournament. Congrats Spain !
Some people are so fed up with Spain winning 3 major titles that labeled them as 'boring' team.

With their squad that most of them under 30, they would just achieve more success in the next WC. I admire Del Bosque very much. So far, this tournament has been tremendous full of enjoyable matches. I enjoyed it. :)

It's like the Spanish team was tired of the 'boring' tag and just wanted to shut the world up. There is something cerebral about their passing too, it just seems to drain the life of their opponents sort of like a Boa Constrictor.

That second goal was brilliant stuff starting with Iker sending the ball from 40 yds to Alba's run (breakout player). I'm really looking forward to seeing Prandelli's Italy in the coming years they are starting to redeem themselves from the disgrace in South Africa.

For me that first goal was just a masterpiece. I think soccer is the best example of "winners writing history" than any war or anything. Spain finally finish and they're exciting. Their other 12 knock out games (except vs. the USA) the score once and blow all their chances and now they're exciting. Even though I'm calling everyone out, I'm just as guilty I guess.
