Spain keep the possession for the sake of keeping it, Barça doesn't made useless passes, all of them are on the back of a oppositor and to the free man ("3er hombre" concept). don't know why you guys are hating on the double false 9 ... I personally love it as a concept ... fair enough that it's not working too well with Fàbregas and David Silva for Spain, as compared how it does for Barça with Cesc and Leo; but why arbitrarily dismiss the concept outright?

To use one false 9 you need a truly special player like Messi or Cryuff who incidentally will score as much as a classic poacher despite being much further from goal. The audacity to play a double false 9 without a single player who can do the role is frustrating. Llorente can play fast and with his feet, head home crosses and finish, he would make them a lot better. Playing with weak false 9s is asking to get Chelsea'd or at least not create real opportunities.
