And when they ran out of ideas they just hoofed the ball into the box where it suited Inter with their height and physical advantage. Samuel and Lucio were their usual selves.
Mandieta6;2859870 said:Does that count as ad hominem? It's just as crappy an argument.
Please explain how Robben being a bigger diver excuse Sergio.
ArgVega;2859886 said:Its tough because inter had all their guys boxed up in the 6 yard box and were very organized, I'm surprised we even got a goal in the end.
I'm sure you guys can relate, Jose did the same to you at Stamford Bridge, it's difficult to penetrate a team that is that organized and puts all their players in the box.
I commend Inter for their organiztion and defence, in the end that wins games as well. We were also made to pay for our mistakes, as well as Inter's efficiency in the first leg.
The one man I think we missed the most was definately Don Andres, Xavi needed help sometimes creating opportunities and keita isn't our most creative parter to take pressure off Xavi..
They weren't one man down the first half hour, that really didn't make any difference. But Inter did more than just defend tonight, they completely deregulated any attempt at making this an actual football match rather than one team playing against a wall, including the constant time stretching (don't know what the technical term is in English, but I'm talking about what got their keeper a yellow card), diving when touched at any time by Barça players and all the faked injuries. Seriously, is Lucio made out of glass? It was classic 'Italian defensive theater and accountancy' by Inter tonight. And they still needed help from the ref to prevail. Ugh...Nady;2859881 said:Seriously what did you expect Mourinho to do other than defend? They were one man down against the team which has the best players in the world. Inter's team is nothing compared to Barca's team. The only way to win a game like this is tactics. Mourinho stopped Barca and won it fairly. Accept it.

67 Passes!
That's called football ...
bybuti;2859897 said:Well, I don't except a translator to know what does football mean anyway.
Zakov;2859900 said:buti, in all fairness, Inter did play most of the match with 10 men. So Barca was obviously going to have an easier time passing the ball about.

bybuti;2859907 said:Well, that's how they started the game as well. The only difference is that Milito was a bit more forward.
And it's not our fault that were left with 10 men. They should know the rules before they start playing football.
Completing 67 passes in 96 minutes it's a shame. Seriously. It's a shame. That's a pass every 1.16 minutes. Now, I know everyone can shut my mouth with the scoreboard here. But, we're talking as grown up people here. From the football side of view.
For instance, did you see Lucio taking up the free kicks. He were going behind for like 30 meters to play the ball. Cesar was losing +30 seconds on every goal/free kick. Then, Lucio was DIVING after every single ball that was going in their zone. Etc, etc.
Inter players are a bunch of players? They have one of the 3 best rosters in Europe.
Oh and I forgot to say, he's behavior doesn't differ from that of Balotelli at all. He's +40, but still that his behavior doesn't differ from that of a little kid.
Dytza;2859909 said:I didn't expect Mourinho to do anything else. I know he's a great tactician. But today's performance just wasn't his achievement. Any team in the world would have done the same thing in Camp Nou. And what?! SAF made the same thing and got an unfair 0-0. Hiddink made an unfair 0-0. Mourinho made a 1-0. Why do you guys rate him so high? His a fantastic manager, but not that "Special One". I'm very very sure that Camp Nou fans would love to see Barça play the way Mourinho's teams have done through last years.
bybuti;2859919 said:Ouhh, shit.
I won't be able to sleep tonight.
I'm sorry boy. I am very sorry. Please forgive me!
Nady;2859924 said:OK... Kind of agree. Many managers have been able to do that in the past. But most people forgot about the first leg. Barca was almost outplayed by a team which was inferior in terms of quality. They don't have any players who are amongst the world's best like C. Ronaldo, Messi, Xavi etc. That's I why I think Mourinho should get some credit.

Mandieta6;2859918 said:Point is, the best team in the world, with the God of football and some of the best players in their position, if not the best (all supposedly) knew what their opponent was going to do a week in advance. Everyone knew what Inter were going to do, and they still lost.
bybuti;2859934 said:100% sure.
But, let me ask you something? There were 3 goals (2 scored and 1 canceled) in disfavor of Barça. While, you want me to comment a red card shown to a **** like Thiago Motta after my team got eliminated?
