To me it was fair and square. Pique scored a great goal, but to me it was offside, then that handball didnt exist. I hate anti-football, but with Motta out a a first leg result to defend what do you guys wanted?? Mourinho to put them in the attack. Inter deserved this win, Barça didnt play that well either, they had a massive possession but only Messi's shot and these final moments were dangerous.

Im proud of having Mourinho as portuguese coach ( portuguese coachs are great btw )

I heard Valdes tried to grab Mourinho there? And they turned on the ******* hoses, that's absolutely pathetic from Barcelona. No integrity whatsoever.

Whate the hell are you talking about, he went straight toward the Barcelona supporters trying to throw it in their faces. I'm sure you would be so gracious, your one of the most hipocrit b*tches in this forum!

Well looks like its Bayern-Xerez in the final.

Anyway we needed that goal earlier, but I am very proud of our team, they gave it their all. It's time to lift our heads up and continue with our defense of La Liga.

On the match, I kind of disagree taking zlatan out of the game, for 20 minutes we crossed the ball in there to players who are much shorter than the Inter center backs, but oh well.

Congrats to Inter, although I hope you lose the final bcause of your coach, he's a real bastard. How cute "el traductor" wen't on to becom someone "special"

Can't ask for more from my players its been a long season and I would like to thank the for all those moments and the 6 trophies they collected in a row.

Thank you FC Barcelona.

Before the semi-finals I, as a neutral, sided with Barça and their supporters hoping to see their flair bringing them the title. But over the two legs Barcelona displayed a stunning level of incompetence, perhaps matched only by their "best team in the world" hype. Now I am actually glad they were defeated - even more so after the Motta/Busquets incident.

And now, May 22th: Go Bayern! :33vff3o:

Mourinho went to celebrate with the Inter supporters, I believe. And it doesn't excuse Valdes attacking Mourinho if that's what happened. I only saw the ref and officials seperate Valdes. I don't know what you're exploding about, Valdes did run at Mou and the Barca management did urn the sprinklers on, which is disgraceful.

nah, no need for another approach ... people have criticized Barça for having no real "Plan B", but I think there is no need for a "Plan B", as much as there is a need for a "Plan A.1", Plan A.2", "Plan A.3", etc. ... by that I mean: Barça doesn't need to change what they want to do, but rather how they deal with the opposition's tactics so that the team can continue to keep possession in attacking areas, and can precision pass their way to goals ...

As I told you before that, I thought Barca had to try a different approach for that game. Barcelona is VERY predictable playing with the same tactic everytime. I admit that it does work 95% of the time. But this time it was a big game and Barcelona already lost the first leg. Mourinho knew EXACTLY how Barcelona were gonna play and his tactics were spot on throughout the game. Barca is clearly the best team in the world in terms of individual quality players but they couldn't break through Inter's defense even though playing against 10 men. I'm pretty sure Barca could've done better with the world class team they have... Credits to Xavi's pass and Pique's super (offside) goal though. They needed just 1 more to go through. That Bojan header should've been in...

Now it proves why Barca fans were so angry about ref mistakes in a first leg, 2-1 or 3-2 was a different story.

Well, it was a big blow for beautiful attacking football as defensive anti football won at the end.

Yes it was anti football, 76-24 position, no shoots on target, time wasting, mind games at technical area.

Beautiful football? What do you call Busquets' dive then? Beautiful football?

And with 1 man down what did you expect Inter to do against the best team in the world? Go attack and forget about defending? Mourinho's tactics were spot on. Admit it. And Barcelona could've done better with a different approach IMO.

Brilliant defending from Inter, I thought Inter were growing into the match in the early stages, only for the ref to fall for Busquets theatrics. Spoiled the game for me. It could've been more exciting 11v11. Nevertheless, as the saying goes, its not easy playing against 10 men.

Pique's goal was offside, and the ball struck towards Yaya Toure was unfortunate, but the ref was in the position where he clearly saw the ball struck the hand, even if it was unintentional.

Messi apart from a few flashes of brilliance was controlled excellently by his Argentine compatriots, Cambiasso and Zanetti, who impressed me yet again, worked hard throughout the 90minutes despite his age, it would be great for him to add the CL to his illustrious career.

Barca just didn't have a clue on how to break Inter down. All they did was pass the ball around the Inter box, and kept that going over and over. And when they ran out of ideas they just hoofed the ball into the box where it suited Inter with their height and physical advantage. Samuel and Lucio were their usual selves.

Well, Jose once again got his tactics spot on. And what the heck was wrong with Valdes at the end, Jose was heading to celebrate with the Inter supporters, Valdes had no right to stop him, fair play to the ref for telling him to fu<k off.

Inter vs Bayern, Sneijder vs Robben(who both return to the Bernabeu with other clubs strangely enough), Mourinho vs Van Gaal(Former Barca assistant vs Former Barca coach), Lucio vs his old club.

Can't wait. :D

The sad thing for the football is that a team that couldn't made more than 80 passes (comparing to over 500 passes of its opponent) got through the final. A team that made two central strikers (Eto'o and Milito) play as LB and RB respectively.

It is a sad thing for your team if it is incapable of converting 80% of ball possession into any real scoring chances for two thirds of a game. "The football" has nothing to do with that.

you just can't do anything more in front of such a compact defence. The only thing Barça could do was to pass the ball in the flanks where it was the only free space to play and cross in the box. But after the Ibra-Bojan sub we lost that solution too since none could head the ball from those crosses.

I personally don't give that ****ty credit to Mourinho for that. They where clearly his instructions for his defence to stay on 2 lines, but from the 1st minutes it comes to defensive players' personal quality; an Inter clearley has the best defence in the world.

It was impossible to play against that defence, with Lucio and Samuel heading away every ball, and even Chivu doing a great job. I didn't understand Messi's role in this match. I think those guys did everything could be done to force a final qualify. That's why I'm very proud of this amazing team!

Visca el Barça!!

Find me a post where I ever defend Robben or anyone else from diving. The only dives I support are the comedic ones, like Rivaldo's in the 2002 world cup against Turkey.

Does that count as ad hominem? It's just as crappy an argument.

Please explain how Robben being a bigger diver excuse Sergio.

Haha the Rivaldo dive is a classic (Y) Although today's dive+peek could be also categorized alongside the comedic ones..

Btw, I don't like to rub it on Barca fans, but seems like Eto'o made the right move after all (H). I remember Barca fans saying that for Robben, Sneider etc when Real went out.

Anyway, it was a good campagn for Barca overall. They've been doing very well in the UCL but there's an end to everything.

Robben and Sneijder may be ex madrid(none of which I agree on getting rid of) players now in the CL final with just one of them that is going to life the trophy.. But better them lifting the trophy in the Bernabeu than Barca...

Seriously what did you expect Mourinho to do other than defend? They were one man down against the team which has the best players in the world. Inter's team is nothing compared to Barca's team. The only way to win a game like this is tactics. Mourinho stopped Barca and won it fairly. Accept it.
