This is the first time Villarreal and Manchester United meet in European competition. Villarreal have played English sides three times and have always won.

Manchester United have played Spanish sides 31 times winning 9, drawing 11, and losing 11. United have won Spanish opposition on Spanish soil only once from 15 times.

For Villarreal this is only their third European season while for United it's the 29th time.

Villareal team news: Diego Forlan will be playing his first match against Man Utd after leaving the club last year. Juan Roman Riquelme will probably miss the match because of an ankle injury.

Man United team news: Cristiano Ronaldo will miss the game as he is still in Portugal after the death of his father.

Should be a very tight match, probably will end as a draw, my guess would be 0-0 or 1-1

i do hope we are able to win the first game but i feel this game will end up as draw

so 1-1. nistelrooy for united. don't know who will score for villareal, hopefully not forlan :|

Sucks for Ronaldo, hope his family is recovering and RIP to his dad. Thats gotta be a pretty crushing blow at only 19 :(

Anyway, you know Forlan will score and when he does, I be his celebration will be sweet(6) Ill go with 2-1 for United, since Riquelme is out. Rooonay, Park and Forlan

thanks, btw are they showing the Barcelona vs. Werden Bremen game on this channel as well, because it seems as if they are not going to..


EDIT: Just checked once more, and it seems as if they are showing it in a channel called "STS"
