Well, that's one interesting thread.

I do have to mention, Rafa Marquez was absolutely brilliant.
I don't even remember the number of times he save Barca on Chelsea's counter-attacks.

If Barca continue on this great run, he will make it to the World Cup on a fantastic level.

That aside.
Chelsea are going to need more that just excuses for the comeback game in Spain.
All I hear is excuses, but not any solutions on how to stop Messi!!

Crespo said that he wasnt injured...he wasnt very happy...hehehe...

I dont masturbate with messi, but i sure get a boner when he get the ball... :)

This little kid from Rosario is doing some amazing things...he is only 18.

This was the cover of the sport newspapper ''Ole'' from Argentina... :rockman:

Why are people still arguing over this? The second challenge in no way amounted to a red, but when you look at the ACCUMULATION of fouls by Del Horno against Messi then you could justify. The end result was right, but the way the ref went about it was wrong.

Del hornos first tackle=yellow card, which means the 2nd tackle would of never happened. The ref f*cked up. He shouldn't have got straight red because of his first tackle and the 2nd one combined, you cant do that, thats what yellows are for, cautions.

this is a conspiracy/complot against Chelsea,
Uefa wants Chelsea to lose no matter what,
there is a lot of money behind this,
but Chelsea will prevail ,
the faith and the justice will always be first
and we(Chelsea) are gonna do an excelent job in Barcelona, and we will go to the next round.

and later win the Champions League

Still arguing about the red card uh...

EDIT: Derok, i admire your optimism... Chelsea is a very good side, and they will cause some damage, even tho playing away from home... but let's see if that damage will be enough for them to go thru, or even win the match....

someone needs to close this thread now, it's ridicules how people are still discussing this. What's done is done there's no going back

red card for Del Horno
Chelsea lost
IMO Messi did a horrible acting job at the end lol...
and Del Horno didn't do a better job either

Chelsea will def give it all for them to win in Camp Nou or Nou Camp :p

What a great match, and what a great game by Messi. Nothing more to say, watching Messi play makes the whole 90 mins of the match seem way too short. Although Ronaldinho stepped it up in the 2nd half, Leo carried the team on his back throughout the entire game. About the red card, it was well deserved. The first tackle on Messi by Del Horno should have been an automatic red; you cannot come down on a player's knee like that. The second tackle on helped to prove that he needed to be sent off...can't wait for the return game in Barcelona!!!

::HE VISTO A MESSI:: :rockman: :rockman:

Hey "the mind"
1. You've once again accused our club of racism. Check a few pages back and adjust your opinion. The match was held in England, not Spain.
2. We lacked motivation? Your boys only ran us ragged in the final 20. Before that, you were left guessing, and we showed a whole hell of alot more motivation, and more importantly, heart than your lot. But I wouldnt expect you to know what im talking about

I would make a joke about how giving brain, but im slightly above that ;)

Hey Blue Wet Bullet (prefect name to define the Chelsea game)
1. I´m not acussing Chelsea Club, due i know by friends and other fans that luckly not all the fans actue like these people on the field making monkey sounds. The racism exist, is a s**t, but it exist, on Spain (with some commentaries and in some places) aswell exist in England and in other countries, but this is not a excuse for to victimize that people that each time that Eto´o takes the ball start to make the f****** monkey sounds.
2. Chelsea players were totally out of motivation, i dont know your concemption of what is football, but if you think that to shot 3 times in 90 minutes is enought...well....first half was totally tactical, another viewpoint of football, but Barça createad more chances....and the 2nd half was totally for Barça...indeed Chelsea didnt score any goal.....it was own goal. And sincerelly, i expected more from Chelsea...i didnt see the hell on any part, only Robben, Makelele and Drogba in the second half were in the field, playing well. And don´t talk about heart because you dont know what means Barça, if you believe that heart is to play "kick-football", well, that´s your problem.

Yes, better save easy and fool advices (more when most of people know why my second nickname, nothing to do with football or me, and you dont.) ;)

Luis do you actually masturbate over pictures of Messi?

Hohoho...lol man, but out of context, easy and poor commentarie.

I'd still like to know why the ref tolerated Puyol's thuggery. He gave him one yellow and let the rest of his dirty play go unpunished. I would not call that consistant refereeing.
One set of rules for Chelsea and one set of rules for the darlings of UEFA it seems. I'll give the ref the benefit of the doubt and just say he was useless. UEFA said he was one of their top referees.
I also didn't like the way that 9 Barca players surrounded the ref whining either, and then applauding the ref when he carded Del Horno.Very sporting i must say.
Two seasons ago, UEFA said that surrounding the ref would not be tolerated. So will UEFA have anything to say about that?........Probably not.

Ohhh....poor Chelsea, victims again??, please.....insted of to play well, now arguing about the ref??....well, childist excusing mourinho style....typical.....

Barca fans are right and Chelsea fans are right. This goes nowhere and it is now just boring. Lets just leave this until after the second leg, and then when Barca have been eliminated, we will see what you have to say about it then O wise one. We are Barcas bogie team and we will always be Barca's nemisis.
I wouldn't be surprised if UEFA bring Frisk out of retirement for the return game. Thats how warped this whole sorry saga has become

That you will win here?? lol...hahahaha..if Chelsea was not able to score 2 goals in his potato field, they will score 2 goals here??? pfff....

Stamford Bridge's pitch was no different than a potato field. They buy expensive footballers, why don't they fix the pitch?

i hope you know that the "fixing pitch process" isnt a 3 days work..i beleive that they will do this stuff at the end of the season...

Barça had changed the field in 2 weeks more or less, there´s no excuse, so the only reason that i found for that Mr.Dollars had not change the grass is that this kind of field goes well for the kind of play that Chelsea does. In all the cases.....is really poor that a team like Chelsea have this potato field, playing Champions League macthes overall.....

Yes you are very much right. They don't do it, because they don't want players like Ronaldinho t controll the ball well and destroy them. (he did it anyways tho :D )

Yea, I also agree with you though Mourinho had denied thats his dirty trick.

Looking forward to the 2nd leg at Camp Nou. Barca, thrash them with some brilliant one-touch and on-the-ground football. (H)

Ref could have seen it as a combination foul. That's the only way it could merit red.

1) The collision, 2) The play acting

That's the only was i can see it

Otherwise, yellow card.
But in that way the ref should give him 2 yellow cards and then send him off instead of giving a red straight.

In my opinion the ref just want to compensate for not giving yellow in the earlier "tackle". I didnt expect the ref would send Del Horno off after the foul. But I dont disagree with his decision as Del Horno's leg is kicking up and thats dangerous.

Wait... do you masturbate over the picture of any Chelsea player?!

Hey i asked you first. Now come on give an honest answer. Do you have a picture of Messi with his shirt off over your bed, and do you "pull the sausage" as you look at it. Its a reasonable question i think. :hump:
