haha dream a little dream mate

dream? lol its a fact.

I really liked the articles www.planetworldcup.com wrote about that ("only team that can do anything vs. Brazil's dominance has always been Uruguay, no matter how bad they have been playing before" <<<he wrote a bunch of them>>>

If you think about it: after hearing how "Peru hasnt beaten Brazil in 50 so years" and stuff like that , or the record for all of S. america vs. Brazil (its bad....lets just say, really bad <like 4-89 type deals>
-To have uruguay and Argentina actually have records of 45-49 and 42-59 throughout history, is incredible (And forget Copa americas, where our record with brasucas is great)

+ add that Brazil never won in centenario, ever.
- that we took the world cup that they've been trying to overcompensate with for 50 years ("we have 5!!!!" ....but the one that counts is missing :) (((and for us that was worth 50 world cups in a row <<<too priceless to be true>>> . To beat one of your main rivals/derbies in the most famous world sport upset of all time? Just too good.
- add that Brazil has only not beaten 1 nation in the new system qualifyers: Uruguay? (and that we constantly own them in the field during all our games, just on pure hearts/balls)

........all i have to say is: Ill drive you to school tomorow son :D lol

Oh shoot, and I really care about what they think too. Uruguay is 4 times World Champion, whether people give a damn or not doesn't make a difference to me, the rest of Uruguay or FIFA. Accept it or not, the titles are there.

Want to know what makes me laugh? That the most argumentative and defensive Brazilian in this thread isn't from Brazil, that he probably doesn't even have Brazilian citizenship or for all we know ever even set foot on Brazilian soil.

When did Uruguay win another two cups?

I'm surprised someone besides Kibe, Pasion, Al and I are still reading this thread. The football Olympic Games of 1924 and 28 were organized by FIFA and are recognized by them as World Cup championships of the time.

Have a look at some pictures from World Cup 2002, you'll notice that only teams that have won the World Cup have stars above their badges, and that Uruguay has 4 of them.

I'm definitely not pro brazil, seeing them being defeated in the quarter-finals last summer made me as happy as my team getting to the semi.

And being world champions of 1924, 1928, 1930 and 1950 is definitely an achievement, we don't need to argue about that. But WHY do you think that this does say ANYTHING about uruguay's strength TODAY?! That was 57 - 83 years ago!

Nevertheless i hope you beat them.

Will you take us to Australia next time dad? It's always you who go there, I wonder what it is you do there. Do you have fun? Some people are saying you go there to play football, but surely that can't be true. You're so good at football that the Australians would never stand a chance. Their biggest contribution to football is Harry Kewell, and we know how good he is! Surely that wouldn't be enough to beat all those 100000 Copa Americas you have, dad. And those 20 World Cups. And the Olympics you've won just the other day.

TOCALLI: 'ME DECIDI A ATACAR CUANDO VI QUE URUGUAY SE QUEDO'
"Firmaba el empate"

that quote is just priceless.

It was evident, yesterday Lautaro Acosta, Sergio Romero and Eber Banega where invited to the TV program, Estudio Fútbol. I don't remember who i think it was Acosta who said that during the match some uruguayan players asked them if like they didn't want to "close the courtain", aka stop attacking and finish it as a draw.

It doesn't. Where did I say it did?

Only if we stop in France first.

It's not a discussion at all, just some biased opinions with massive ego stroking.

Sure thing Dad! As long as we get to Australia after that, I don't mind stopping in France. I hope you don't mind that France's population is 3 times bigger than Australia's.

Oh, and we share the same taste in women.

... yeah, that post would've been amusingly ironic and relevant if I had been the one to actually type those comments.

Guess it just comes down to personal taste, but I'd rather miss out on the World Cup on penalties than get trashed in the Final. To each their own.

Well, you didn't make the "son" comment either, but I just couldn't let it slip. I just wanted a reply from pasion, you see. Gotta love to see his posts.

I've got nothing against Uruguay, nothing at all. No 1950 grudge or anything like that, but some posts here are priceless, and I was just trying to get some more.

As for the "De tal palo tal astilla" bit, sorry, I don't know Spanish at all, but I'm guessing it's something close to "an apple doesn't fall far from the tree"?
