I read that in a review, but it's easy to forget how tough life is for these people when you watch the show on TV. I think casting adult actors played a pretty big part in that, obviously. Anyway, Denaerys is the best character and she better become Dany the conqueror or I'll be sad. If she married Jon Snow, that would be a pretty nice happy ending for Shifty. I think Jon is way more likable in the books, but maybe he's just becoming more likeable in book 3.

Life Ban
A few hours ago I started watching the 5th season, am currently watching No. 8. Admittedly, Skylar's separation thing is annoying and difficult to defend, but other than that I still defend her as a person. Season was great, character development, as always, a major plus.

Final episodes look like they could be awesome. Suppise it's better this way although I was hoping to see a major crime war between Walt and a new Gus. This is the showdown the show has been building towards, though.

All caught up now.

Aww, that's too bad. I had started to figure at the beginning of this book that the Starks were just doomed and welp. It's weird how I suspect that the heroes are going to lose and the bad guys might become the good guys. The Lord of Light is starting to look pretty appealing.

Let me tell you one thing about these books....

Never expect anything!!! You might think you know where the story is headed but than George R R Martin will bitch slap you several times until you learn not to ever expect anything!!

And in my opinion, 3rd book is the best out of the 5 that he has written....

Yeah, well it was about 400 pages of nothing, so I'm super excited that some crazy shit has happened. And I'm again surprised how much I'm starting to think the lord of light is the good guy. I thought it was a crazy cult when I first saw it on the show, but now I don't think that at all. Almost seems like a magical version of monotheism about to supplant all the pagan gods.

Also something that just happened that I thought was ridiculous. "Hey, we're kids trying to get over the wall into a land overflowing with white walkers"-- "cool, I'll take you". WHAT!?

Yea these books are like that... Everything happens in the last 40% of the books. The first 60% is just story and character building.

Red wedding is just the start point of the shit storm and like how everyone gets shit all over them! (H)

Just to make sure you guys know what I'm talking about, because I'm kind of wondering. Game of Thrones Spoilers! Don't look hard if you don't want to know!

First wedding was when Rob, Catelyn, and Arya died. That sucked, but the Starks just seemed doomed. If I had to speculate I'd say that Rob's queen got knocked up just before he left, but who knows. And Jon Snow was presumably legitimized too, so that's good and I guess that means he's technically the King in the North now. The second wedding was when that piece of shit Joffrey choked on a pie. I suspect it was poisoned and meant for Tyrion, but that little faggot could have just choked on a piece of pie too because fuck him.

Lannisters won't give up their power easily, but it does seem like Stannis is going to have a pretty easy route to taking back power now with all the other kings dead.
