When England didn't qualify for the USA world cup many people were glad and the US organisers were glad the "English didn't make it too.." is this racist???? Of course not.

The Turks are a bit hyper sensitive about negative comments directed too them...the English say plenty of negative things about the French and Germans...the Dutch say negative things about the Germans....the French say negative things about the English...its all about being European :) but to bring death and blood into it is moronic whoever it is coming from..:f***: :f***:

welcome to the world of football, this isn't the land of milk and honey....certain groups are gonna dislike and even hate others. If I said "All Arsenal fans are scum" I'm willing to bet nodody would be in an uproar, exept maybe Arsenal fans...

And where are all you "holier than thou types" when people in this forum generalize all Portuguese, Italian, or South American players as divers and cheats? that's not racial stereotyping?? pfft... :rolleyes:

well, youre right, it is football...
about portoguese players being divers, i never heard that one. i dont follow this forum much (my 34 post count says alot ;)), but i kinda got upset about this turk thing, and youre also right that there are plenty of other examples directed at other nations/races...i just pointed this one out, but i think none of this should be allowed...im done :).

This is a surprise !!!!!! Congrats to the Latvians !! Latvia reached the finals whilst teams like Finland, S&M, Norway, Turkey, Slovenia, Scotland, Wales etc. didn't. :(

In a way I think your overreacting with Gallista's comments: he was generalizing imo the Turkish fans and supporters 95% would be from Turkey but not all of them and it has nothing to do with the popylation or its country.

How would it be if some one have said NO BLACKS or NO AFRICAN TEAMS in world cup 2006? (Not that I got anything to blacks, but its just an example) As Drvar have explained it perfectly, why not GOOOOOOOO LATVIA but NO TURKS IN PORTUGAL? This is offensive to us, really it is.
