I mean like any other team that's recently been a bit hyped, they've been brought down to a bit of reality. Sadly the same thing is true for Portugal but at least we learned our lesson in friendlies and don't have to deal with the same drama as the Turks.

Nobody thats a civilised human being likes Hooligans.Football for most of us is a sport that we love above all other sports,and hooliganism and violence at matches is abhorant to us all.We in England ,as in all countries all over the world have hooligans........but the hooligans are found on the terraces mostly......Unfortunately Turkeys hooligans are not only on the terraces,their hooliganism reaches from the terraces to the boardroom of the Turkish FA.This includes some of their players,coaches,manager and backroom boys who have all been witnessed and even caught on t.v showing some unforgivable behavoir,take the trouble in the tunnel in Latvia as the most recent example......As the rest of the world are trying to combat hooliganism it seems that in Turkey the people who should be working against it actually participate in it.......Why do the Turkish people that come on these forums find it impossible to have a reasonable discussion about anything.........they always seem to resort to insults and threats.......why do they take critisism as an insult to their masculinity.....for instance....Turkey lost and are not going to Euro.....thats it...sure its dissapointing and yes you are going to get people come here and say how happy they are about that......but thats the way of the world.......man......if i decided to have it out with everyone who dislikes the English,these people would form a queue 1000 miles long.I know why some people dislike the English .....some of it is historical,which i can do nothing about,but i mostly agree with the points they make,some of the reasons people say they hate the English dont make any sense at all,they are just ignorant generalisations about a race of people they have never even met..........and if you meet 100 Englishmen,is that enough to give you a firm impression of what the English are like .....of course not.But in the civilised world a civilised person should recognise when its time to be proud of your country and when it is time to be ashamed......only a blind nationalist with no sense of reason would defend something that he knows is wrong.......and if he refuses to choose between right and wrong .....then he is not civilised.....if your country gets critisized and that makes you feel personally insulted then you need to expand your mind because maybe the roots of that critisism have some substance ......and until you are able to see this.......without striking out in a blind rage.....then you will not be seen as civilised..........and remember this my Turkish friends......for people who do not often meet and speak with Turkish people......the only impression they can form of your people and your country, is what they hear from you.........

It's sick and I have witnessed turk's harrasing inocent fans and trying to scare them, I live in Canada now but (I have watched many Porto games at Antas(also SD memeber) also seen Gil Vicente at A.Ribeiro, Braga,etc.. never have I seen fans stabbing others with knifes or even making those kind of threats, I have seen fists and once alot of verbal threats but never the sh;t that goes down to teams that go to turkey or their supporters, I am even scared of going just into that country, it's pathetic so again,NO TURKS IN PORTUGAL

Thats why I love this country cause where I live, its 100000 times better then any place, cause people here know how to respect other cultures.
