Totti Ban????????????????????

Circular 636

The punishment Mijailovic received for spitting at Mutu was an 8 match ban, so I think Totti will probably be banned for the rest of the tournament....which of course is a good thing after this incident and his awful tackle.

Yeah, he should have got the red card there. Henriksen was lucky to get away without a big injury from that.

this is a link to DR (Danish National Television) who have the actual videostream on their homepage...they filmed it themselves ... the official UEFA cameras didn´t catch the incident...

check it out ...

P.S. for those of you who don´t have danish as your first or second language :-D ... click on the "Se situationen, hvor Italienske Francesco Totti spytter Christian Poulsen i hovedet (DR Sporten 15. juni 2004)" text/link on the page linked above

What a nice example he's setting for the kids

seriously, f uck the kids, damn them all to hell....it's always about those lousy, little critters whenever something controversial happens....I can't stand that cliche....f uck protecting them and setting examples for them....kids annoy a lot....infact, there's one who just bounced an over-inflated, rock hard basketball off of my already hurting head a moment ago and another about to spill my last can of red bull that I'm too lazy to salvage

I'll reiterate...F uck the kids

really upsetting news...:(

but after seeing the vid i find it strange...poulsen didnt even flinch when spat at, could it be totti missed poulsen or maybe tried to spit behind him? i dont wanna say anything until the truth is told, because this doesnt seem right...stuff like this would be picked up by the god knows how many cams uefa has, not one measley Danish camera. We wouldve and shouldve known about this the next day latest, not 48 hrs after.

Let's wait and see what UEFA say...

I believe I read on a Roma forum that Poulsen does not think Totti should be banned as he claims stuff like this happens all the time in soccer, and that he respects Totti greatly as a player . Poulson is a class act. Hopefully Totti receives max 1 match ban and a fine, b/c without him Italy's chances are dramatically reduced...:(

f*ck off, we'll wait and see, if he gets a severe fine then we'll know that w/ all the evidence it shows he did have intent

if he gets off lightly then there's more than what meets the eye...just wait you f#*king vultures...

It was definitely intentional by Totti, I've just seen the footage here on Dutch television in slow motion and from all angles and Poulsen DID looked at the ref in surprise and to his teammates.
It's really poor sportsmanship by Totti and that kind of behaviour doesn't belong on a footballpitch simple as that! :kader:
Tomorrow the UEFA will decide if Totti will get suspended for three games, I don't think he will but you never know...

i dont get it...why wasnt Rooney then under review for his elbow on the french player? Total B$ if you ask me, if you're going to go back and review actions from this game might as well do it for all of them

oh well, zidane was suspended for 2gms in 98 for stamping and he came back to lead France to victory - Totti will take his punishment, apologize, and prove he is still one of the best by erasing this bad event with a European Title ;)

Miss Francesco Totti won't be banned. He's way too famous to get a ban. Maybe it will end with Christian Poulsen being banned from football for trying to reach Totti's spit...

And to even think Nuno Gomes, Xavier and Bento banned for 6 months from European competitions for... And Miss Totti getting away like this.

If I didn't want him at Milan before, now... think how much I (don't) want.....

decide what?. He spat on a player, that's all that needs to be said. No matter how much you wind a player up, you don't spit in retaliation.
