Why? Do you have a brain to think why? I'll tell you, CAUSE EA HAVE ALL TO MAKE THE BEST GAME, licences, money, fans... and FIFA 2005 from what i've saw is becoming awesome, i'm talking about FIFA 2005 since the beginning of this thread, but the biased only point bad things in FIFA 2005... now i ask, WHY?

Yet but gameplay is the most fundamental part of any computer game, not graphics and licences... that's where many people go wrong.

Which is a real pity since as ya'd said it, EA really have got it all primed for 'em to make a smashing football game, only to fail miserably in the execution. If Euro 2004 is any indication as to how 05 is shaping up, I really dont think theres anything much to crow about, or even expect.
It's all good editing fifa, heck, ya probably recognize a whole congregation of us here in PES/WE who used to play fifa and were actively involved in the fifa scene. Some of us only saw what we were missing when WE/PES came to PC and we haven't looked back and it is highly inprobable that we will unless fifa matches WE/PES in gameplay and by then, we probably wouldnt even bother what with the strides that Konami would have made in improving their product.
And please, dont come here telling us fifa's graphics are in anyway superior to PES/WE. It's like saying ::Jason:: of gfx forum is comparable to Monet.

Some people loves graphics and some people loves gameplay. I don`t see anything wrong with Mouta`s statements, at least he could give a proper explanation about the bitmaps quality differences between PES and FIFA, unlike some real hardcore EA fanboys who can only bitch "PES SUXXX, FIFA RULZZ !!!!" without makin any decent sense of explanation and make a fool out of themself. Yes, I agree FIFA bitmaps are better but bitmaps doesn`t make me enjoy my football game if I weren`t allowed to do a well timed volley or bicycle kick in FIFA 2004 due to ( again ) some programming bugs.
So you think having one company having all the exclusive rights to all of the licenses will make us footie fans happy because they will make the best game. Competition is what make games better. EA has the money, the licenses, and all of the resources to make the best footie game. But they don't because of the fans. FIFA fans do not demand much from EA. It does not matter how bad the game is, they flock in hordes to buy the latest installment of the series. It is no wonder FIFA is so behind in the gameplay department when comparing to WE/PES all of these years. Then when EA comes up with something that is already in other games, they put their marketing spin on it by using fancy terms. Aerial play, organic motion, player's DNA, ect... All lot of BS. Euro2004 has the chip shot. Big freaking deal. It has been in WE for many years.
I don't support one company. I want a good game. KONAMI has delivered that to me at the moment. Does that mean that they can't be improved? No, there are a lot of things KONAMI can do to make WE/PES better.
Like I said before, you are a graphic whore. Let's say that you are right that FIFA has better graphics. Does that make FIFA better than WE overall a game because of the graphics? You would chose FIFA over WE because of the graphics.
Anybody remember when the first FIFA came out for the PC? You know, the one that didn't even have a year in the title. I think it was called "FIFA Soccer" or something. The view was 3/4s isometric, and gameplay was far from realistic but it was fun as hell.
Fast forward to 2004. Why does it seem like EA has continued to improve the graphics engine but has done nothing to the gameplay? If anything the gameplay has gotten worse over the years. I bought the first 3 (I think) FIFA games for PC and after that I quit because the lousy gameplay really turned me off. Then I played WE6 and saw what a real footie simulation looks and plays like. It really rejuvenated my love for footie games, and now with WE7i it's even better.
"Graphics whore" is harsh, but appropriate. I don't really have a lot of respect for the opinions of those who think graphics are more important than gameplay. It's debatable, but let's just say for the sake of argument that FIFA has better graphics. The gameplay on the other hand comes nowhere near WE/PES. So how is it possible that you think FIFA is a better game unless you're a graphics whore? That only happens if you don't really love football. Real footie lovers would never choose flashy graphics with unrealistic gameplay.

EA have all the licences of the clubs, KONAMI just have italian and japan ones, not to mention that PES/WE will continue to bring only ML and not real leagues... even with unlicensed teams they could make the leagues, they just don't want, like the online feature, KONAMI have also to learn how to program in the PC. About the graphics and the gameplay all i have to say is that a great gameplay without great graphics is nothing... i love to feel the stadium atmosphere, the lights, the shadows, the crowd, everything, and FIFA 2005 have all of this and the gameplay is also being improved, EURO 2004 is far better from FIFA 2004. I think competition is healty and EA have more to win in this chapter than KONAMI cause they want to control the market and KONAMI start to be a treath. EA have all the resources to make the best game.
I can understand why Mouta keep saying FIFA got the better graphic, its because the poor gameplay in FIFA, therefore, the only fun with FIFA is all about editing and watching the match opening screen. LOL

i was playing fifa all the way until fifa 2003 and 2004 come out... then PES3 is @ PC and i bought that game...
b4 i know PES, everytime EA gives out demo or screenshot for a new fifa series, i always amazed by it u know... same as u ...
but then... the thing is... after u play the game for like 2-3 matches, it starts getting boring because of the gameplay...
and seeing the same thing for the last 4 years, i doubt that EA will change the gameplay for fifa 2005. if they do, great... i'll give it a try on my w**** version and if it is good i'll buy the original... but i highly doubt EA will improve the gameplay. even if they do... it may last only for maximum 5 games at most. what u saying in this thread is like saying... "wow EA has already improve the gameplay" which they havent and you do not know yet. so please... play the game first and decide. do not judge the game by the screenshot because it is only the graphic part of the game. also do not judge by the demo because the demo of a game can be different. i recalled thereis a game called BREED which has a different demo version than the retail. So my point is that you can say the graphic is cool (which i think it is still the same as fifa 2004) but do not say fifa WILL improve the gameplay because you do not work for EA and you do not know whether they are going to improve the gameplay or not. 1 - I play PES with my friends, we are more than 5 sometimes. This don't stop me to also play Euro 2004 and edit it,
2 - Who are you to tell that i don't work for EA or that i have nothing to do with EA? You're pretty bad informed man, i have many contacts and in fact i'm also a researcher for FIFA 2005. Don't judge people you don't know.

[MOUTA] I have a bad prediction for you my friend. You`re going to be banned from here if you continue to insult people with that inteligent insulting of yours. I think each one of us has its rights to like and dislike whatever we please. But what you`re trying to do is outsmart everyone else, make us pe/we fans look bad and stuff. Like I said before, I think you`re about 14yrs old who runs for flashy covers. You`re the only one in here , in this thread that actually likes FIFA and EA. I don`t care if you play PES, but don`t run your mouth saying FIFA this and FIFA that, we all know who EA is and what FIFA is. KONAMI wants to make us PES/WE fans happy, and they want us to stick around as their permanent customers. Tell me what EA and FIFA improves each year.. = GRAPHICS.. thats it man.. KONAMI, improves gameplay, graphics (real deal, unlike in FIFA players look like they`re overweighted and on steroids) KONAMI also is trying to bring and buy alot of licenses, but since we have alot of skilled people that patch games, that isn`t important. KONAMI at least tries to do something, but FIFA and EA nothing. I know so many FIFA BOARDS, and you know what..most of FIFA fans complain about gameplay, and much more..while PES/WE fans have alot of fun. EA is much bigger and much more powerful company than KONAMI, Konami again is top notch mostly in Japan, but it`s just sad seing you talking on ... and on 24/7 how good FIFA 2005 will be.. I love when you pes fanboys start insulting people, saying that we are children cause we play FIFA. I would like to see screens of the upcoming WE/PES but KONAMI don't have class to even go to E3... about your life lessons, first assume your birthday at your profile and then we can talk, i'm 20 years old as you can see and a lot of gaming experience, i play since i was a little kid, i've played all fifa's and all konami soccer games for almost all the plataforms. About getting a girl is a good idea, i don't have to play a Master League alone.
