What superstars are on Brondby and FC Kobenhavn? I was thinking along the lines of Shaktar or Dinamo Kiev, but the league might get a little boring.

yeh Shifty, Shaktar and Dinamo Kiev, all you'll be living for is Europe. You'll win the championship repeatedly with both teams.

Try going for a SLIGHTLY more competetive league, something like a mid/european placed club from Belgium or Portugal maybe?

Basically Brondby and Kobenhavn have the best Danish (and Scandinavian talents)

To name some of their best players:

Brondby:
Kasper Lorentzen (big FM talent)
Johan Elmander (ex Feyenoord)
Daniel Agger (depending on update, if you have an updated DB he will be at Liverpool)
Kim Christensen (ex. HSV and FC Twente)
Johan Absalonsen (big FM talent)
Martin Retov (very good MC)

Kobenhavn:
Marcus Allbäck (you know him, was at the WC)
Tobias Linderoth (another player who was at the WC for Sweden, very very good DMC in the game)
Razak Pimpong (played for Ghana at WC)

Scandinavia has some talented players btw, so you could build them to a European force in a few seasons.

Pro's of the Danish league:
- No Non-EU rules
- An extra European competition: The Royal League, the 4 best teams from Norway, Sweden and Denmark in a league.

I started up a game with Shakhtar and quit after 20 minutes, I had flashbacks to my CSKA Moscow game where I just couldn't improve the squad for Europe because no one wanted to come to Russia. By the way, did you guys know how rich Shakhtar is? 102M Euro balance!!!! I had 42M to spend, and the Chairman was like "if you can get a big name, go over as long as you don't put us in the red." WOW! Unfortunately no one wanted to come to Ukraine despite the fact that I was offering 100k+ per week. I offered to double Shevchenko's contract and he was just like "I can't go to a Ukrainian team". Guys in Mexico were saying that.

I'm thinking Anderlecht maybe. Otherwise if that sucks I'll check out a Danish team. I don't think it would be so bad for those leagues would it? Like, I could probably sign someone out of Brazil wouldn't I?

Try something in Argentina or Brasil. You have these upcoming stars there. Right now for example I'm trying a game with Independiente, they have Sergio Aguero in their squad. (Y)

totally spot on, once managed Shakhtar and i quit after a month of management, bored me having to wait for the CL, only to promptly be beaten by the stronger European sides. Anderlecht are a great choice, but i have a feeling you might win things VERY quickly with them, maybe someone even crapper than them. You'd be fine in Belgium for signing players, and as you said, in Denmark you'd still get dodgy south American players (H)
