I think Bale is the most awesome player I've seen in the last couple of years. That kid is ****ing destined for greatness. Love how he's raping Maicon. Go Spurs.
haha ... it was schoolyard tactics: hoof the ball far ahead of you, and chase it as quick as you can; if you're faster, you'll get there first ... it worked coz Maicon looked like his mind was far away from the game, and he showed little to no commitment ... but Lucio did make a schoolyard mistake by holding the defensive line so high up, instead of seeing that the break was on, then tracking back after realizing what Bale's pace would mean if he had open space in behind for the ball to be hoofed into ...

what impressed about Bale was that, when he made the space for himself to look up, he delivered a killer ball into the box almost every time ... a clutch player already, and a genuine superstar-in-the-making ...

happy to see Raffie get a goal in this big game to keep his fan-favourite status ... hopefully it is just another minor knock that he came off for at the break ...

It's not sophisticated, but if it works it works. You'd be a fool not to utilize such an advantage.

He was rested after the break, because he felt the injury he recieved Saturday coming back up.

Congratulations to Twente, BTW. Very impressive victory away to Werder Bremen yesterday.
Hopefully we can top that with a good performance against Auxerre today.

YELLOW CARD: Untrustworthy
have to say that I enjoyed the Madrid - Milan Game.. Although I would have liked for us to win, seeing Superpippo score is always good. Sure one of his goals was off side, but not much you can do once it is in. And pepe, seriously, how many times must he make that same mistake?? every time he has done that, it has always lead to a goal.

Good game and again, Benzema creates that pass for the tying goal.

BENITEZ's Inter to beat United? You gotta be kidding me

You can't be more right there.

Unfortunately, Inter got another opponent that we most likely will not beat if Benitez still is in charge.

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

Can we shift the focus to the CL now? I'm sick of thinking of the ******* domestic leagues!

I think Arsenal should be a dangerous opponent for Barcelona. Barca couldn't beat a sh*ty relegation-threatened team on Saturday. Hopefully, Arsenal uses that as motivation. Everyone is going to pick Barcelona but I think that Wenger and company are better this season than last year's team. Should be good....particularly the game in London.

As for Spurs-Milan;
1. I have always hated AC Milan.....
2. I hope Spurs win and are forced to play a ton of games over the last 2.5 months of the season

VanTheMan

You'd better behave yourself this time!
van pussy is in the form of his life..
so Id fear for barca this time around..
this Arse team has matured well and can rape opponents on their day

That goal came from a great pass by Modric to spring the counterattack, and a fantastic run, juke, and pass from Lennon. So why does Crouch run away from his teammates and celebrate like he is the man of the hour? I like Tottenham and Crouch, but I hate when players do that. Go celebrate with the guy who gifted you the goal.

Dude, he hugged pretty much every single team-mate he had. Have you ever scored a goal? One time I took the final penalty on the final of a tournament my team were playing, I scored and started running towards the (obviously) empty stand, to the other side of where my goalkeeper was, I just had no idea; you just want to jump and shout and run! Then I turned back and saw all my mates running towards me and jumped and shouted and partied with them. And in no way does it compare to what Crouch must have felt. Take another look at the goal, the way he bends his body to kick it just makes him diverge to his left and then he just kept running, celebrating. He threw his arms up a bit and then started hugging Ekoto and pointed towards Lennon.

What the hell are you talking about?
