The only real problem with Gomez is that he is a bit old compared with other cheapies like Niki and Taigso (however the hell you spell it).

Tsigalko and Nikiforenko are probably better than Gomez because of-
a) They are about £600k cheaper
b) They are younger
And Aghahowa is good, but I made a "cheap person lineup" and Gomez is one of the strikers because To Madeira is fake.

Kerr is a midfielder. Not a sweeper. You claim that you've tried Kerr once or twice, how do you know if he is bad? I have tried Gomez, against all the good teams he played like a piece of crap, only when we played teams like Parramata Power could he get over 6. Even so, this is only once, so I don't say he is bad, but you say Kerr is bad? Slightly immature... How old are you?

It's............. update time!!!!!
Well....... once again, it's time to update you on how ive being doing, i finished off my last update with Salamanca. I shall now update you on the following, and last 8 games of the season.
And this lot started of with what should be an easy game to Leganes:
The team was: Cordoba, Ferdinand, Ayala, Van Bommel, Kily, Kaluzny, Davies, Angulo, Salva, Aimar and Gomez.
This was truelly an unbeliveble game, We had constant pressure. 80% at full time, 19 shots with 11 on target, but couldnt find a way through. For once, the great ronald gomez was firing on none of his four cylinders and it was left to a last minute header from Kily Gonzlez to grab the points. A very comfortable game, if we'd have scored more!!!!!
My next game saw me up against Villareal at El Madrigal. My toughest game for quite some time. But, i preservered with my 14 game unbeaten tactic of the 2-1-4-2-1. Villareal started of strongly, and deservedly took the lead on 37 from a header from Garcia from a Cagna cross. But, after half time we came back into it, with Angulo having one dissalowed. But, unfortuantly, it wasnt enough, Gomez hit the bar twice and had numerous shots saved. But it was my two in AMC, Salva and Aimar who i was most dissapointed with, the created very little chances and both played 6's. I had finally lost!! Ending my unbeaten run and winning streak. I was distraught.
But, i would have to pick myself up for the next game. Barcelona at the Mestalla. I was confident!!! I changed Gavilan round for Angulo but kept everything else the same, my iodea was to interchnage all the time between, short, direct and long pasing, hopefully confusing Charley Rexach's multi-million pound team. We opened up the scoring perfectley, Salva chipped a ball over the top of the defence for Van Bommel to hit home, a great lead after just 8 mins!!! We continued to press but all the time i was worried about our.... lacking, or should that be, lack of, defence.
After half time, i brought Angulo on for a VERY dissapointing Gavilan, he imediatly made an entrance, Kaluzny played it to him, he ran past 2 and then simply basted it past Bonano. But it didnt take long for Barca to reply, a wonderful move resulted in a groundraising drive from Rivaldo. 2-1. They continued to press, so i changed back to my all out defensive scheme. 3-4-2-1. Defensive, with the counter attack. I worked perfectley, they had 80% possession but couldnt create any chances due to our midfield supremicey. Final Score 2-1.
Next up was Sevilla, away. We dominated the first half with an unchanged team that beat Barca. Gomez opened up the scoring after 35mins with a great header from a kaluzny cross. After half time we grabbed anohter, a potentially injured Kily headed home an Gavilan cross, he came off a minute ltaer for Vicente.
But Sevilla came back into it, Galardo hit a 30 yard shot that beat Cordoba. But we werent about to collapse, i brought Angulo on for Gavilan, and Ernstsson on for Salva, two crosses from Angulo, two goals for Ernstsson. The old genious did it again! final score - 1-4
My next game saw me entertain Bilboa, I ALWAYS lose against Bilboa, but i was hoping to put that record aside. In a scrappy first half, there wasnt much to shout about, until the 40min that is, Kily Gonzalez swung a ball into the box, and Marc Van Bommel abliged with a great header. However, 5 mins later he was sent off, a poor two footed challenge was enough to see him get a straight red. After half time i went a little more defensive, however, rather ironically, Gomez scored!! A Davies pass found Gomez in the area unmarked who smashed the ball home. but it was downhill from then on, suddenly, bilboa came alive and took full advantage of my 10-man team. They scored three brilliant goals in the space of just 10 minutes. There was no way back for me, final score. A dissapointing 2-3 to Bilboa, my worst result for a LONG time.
Oh dear, next up, the mighty Madrid.... at the Bernabeu!!! I dont really want to say much about this game..... i didnt like it, 2-0 to Real Madrid from Zannetti and Viera. We had just one shot.......... from Gomez. a poor...... very poor performance.
Next up after a 7 day break, Valladolid at home, if i could win this, i was assured of 3rd place. And if Barca won aswell, then it would mena i couldnt get 2nd, meaning the last game wouldnt matter. And thats exactly what happened. Ernstsson opened up the scoring in the 10th min, and Angulo headed home after 25, i switched to 'all out defensive' mode to consolodate the lead. I worked perfectley, they did get one back after 88mins. But all in all, an easy win.
My last game of the season!!! Away to Malaga. It didnt matter what happened.
Malaga often pose me a lot of problems. But not this time, my players seemed to know that now they were in the Champions league, everything had to be done better!!! Salva hit a 30 yard strike to give me the lead half way throught the half and Van Bommel soon added to that with a sweetly struck shot, his 10th of the season!!!! We couldnt add to these in the second half though, yet still keeped a great clean sheet with my defence and midfield controlling the game!!! 2-0......... However, this wasnt as good as i was hoping for, unfortunatly, my Valencia B, lost a game that if they'd have drwan or won, would have put them into the second division. I was gutted!!
Anyway, i finished 3rd overall, Real Madrid won it, Barca second and Depor 4th. Gomez fisinished top scorer with Diego Tristan Second.
Javier De Pedro came top of the assits ranking, joint top with Viera. Kaluzny and Davies were joint 9th respectivly.
So there you have it. A season, with many ups and downs...
Over the pre-season. I have bought: Michallis Konstantionou. (9m), Patrik Suffo (Free), Mark Kerr (4m), Castillo (1.6m), Javier Villareal (4m), Cabbalero (1.4m) Konstantiouno looks to be very good, and so does Castillo and Villareal. Kerr is injured.
Players sold: Xisco (Bos), Chriss Lewelleyn (1m), Diego Alonso (3.5m - I have gone off him, surpless to requirements. 65k per week is TOO much!), Par Zetterberg (1m - dont like him) and Canizarez finally for 1.5m. Ayala said he disliked Canizarez and unless Canizarez moves, may find footbal eslewhere. So i sold him quick to Fiorentina.
There you go!!!!!!
