I fell off the first person shooter's wagon after Socom 2. None of the Modern Warfares or Battlefields or Medal of Honors have really made me want to dump $60+ to play them.

the offer I took, which was Torino FC in the Serie A.

They have a slew of right footed wingers and an 88 rated defender named Angelo Ogbonna, which is the highest I've had to play with. The problem is that the wages are strapped onto three top players, so I had to get creative to bolster the striker position and GK.

Torino has a lot of older players and little to no younger players. First order of business was to hire two scouts. One is local, so had him look for talent in Italy. The other is Nigerian, so decided to try out Ghana.

Since I seem to me short on AMC in this team and didn't have the funds to purchase one, I'm gonna attempt to take advantage of the surplus in wingers and play an advanced 4-2-2 formation. I guess if it doesn't work out, I'll have to improvise until I buy an adequate AMC and go to my standard 4-2-3-1 formation. Should be interesting.
niicee ... Torino should be fun -- they have history, and there's always a derby to look forward to ...

irl, Ogbonna was an excellent prospect, who didn't quite develop as quickly as expected ... but despite playing in Serie B, Prandelli calls him up for national duty, which means his individual ability still sets him apart ... many are saying one of the big clubs will make a move for him as early as Jan ... I assume he's your captain in-game?

for your formation: I personally dislike 4-4-2 / 4-2-4, but if the squad options force your hand, guess you gotta go with it ... have you taken a look to see if your wingers have the qualities to play centrally? with Nantes, I decided to convert Edgar Salli from a AM/WF to a CM (in front of Nampalys Mendy), and he's been playing amazingly well ...

scouting has been a mixed bag ... Africa is, as always, a gold/diamond-mine, and I've uncovered a ridiculous 15-year-old Cameroonian who's already ready for the first team ... but I wish the interface would allow you to scout regions, so that you get a mix of nationalities, instead of only being able to only scout select countries, one at a time ...

I've played up to the winter break, but I'm taking a break as I played most of the games. As usual, if I sim the game, chances are high it comes out a loss / tie. I've been doing surprisingly well with the 4-2-2-2 formation.

Out of all those wingers, I only have one player that can play AMC, but he's rated in the 60s and I'm doing well enough with this formation. The only problem has been that I've been getting my ass kicked with injuries. I lost this Croatian dude who is in the 80s... his name escapes me, but he broke his ankle a few games in. He could play striker, and since I'm playing with a striker duo with only three actual strikers, that injury hurt. He was out three months.

He finally came back near the winter break and what do you know? My ******* striker breaks his ankle, too! So there I am scrambling to find a replacement striker, but I can't afford a striker from another team. I sent a contract offer to some 69 rated striker, but he hasn't responded at all.

Really if my defense wasn't so strong, I would be getting my ass kicked. I grinded out many 1-0 games as I was getting used to the players, but after I went on a tear. I beat Inter 2-1, I beat Genoa (who was atop the table at the time) 2-0, I beat Roma 2-0, I beat Milan 2-0, beat Juve 2-0 and drew with Fiorentina 2-2s.

I'm 6th and a few points behind the last qualifying spot, but haven't picked up where I left for lack of motivation. I have however gotten back to playing online. I started in division 10 and I'm just obliterating people. I think I went two and a half divisions before I received my first loss.

I have been experimenting with different teams, but mostly stick to Real Sociedad. I've noticed that the 4-3-3 formations leave HUGE holes for counters, so I've mostly stuck to 4-2-3-1. I'm now in 6th division, and I'm finally playing solid players. I was winning games like 5-0 and 6-0 or so, which was making me get bored easily. Should be interesting once I get to play superior players to see how I stack against them.

Finished a couple of seasons with Arsenal, won the league twice but got eliminated on the Quarters of the CL by Dortmund. Luckily, European Champions Real Madrid were out of a coach at the end of the season, and offered me a job. (H)

I took it and found a pretty mid-2000's looking Real Madrid in there, with ****ty players mixed with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo. Sold a lot of garbage and got Hummels(they sold Carvalho to Porto and they had ******* W.Samuel) and Hulk(Di María is at Chelsea and Özil at City(or even Chelsea, can't remember)). So I have:

------------Casillas-----------
Ramos--Pepe--Hummels--Coentrão
--------Alonso-----Sahin--------
Hulk---------Kaká--------Ronaldo
------------Higuaín------------

Zlatan is on the bench and transfer list, Benzema is at Man Utd, Marcelo at City. I have Varane, Callejón, Khedira, Adán, all not great, but pretty good. These bastards had BOTH Tourés, which I sold. So the objective is to win it all, I couldn't have started better: Euro Supercup win over Atlético Madrid, and Spanish Supercup win over Barça, with a 4-0 at the Bernabéu leg.

Hulk injured for 3 months (obviously, when does anything work out absolutely fine), so Pedro León is covering for that. (sometimes Ronaldo, pushing Coentrão forward and putting Arbeloa). FIFA life is good...

By the way the online issues still haven't been resolved for me. Been nagging costumer support almost daily. Got several coupons, a 6-month monthly gold package for UT(which I can't play for now), and Crysis 2 for free!

Finally played Battlefield 3. Must say that I'm not impressed. Graphics are great, superb. Places breaking down from bullets, smoke etc... it's fantastic visually, but it lacks something. I think they raise us too big expectations from all those announcements.

Have to wait to see what CODMW3 will offer.

Frankly I think it looks awesome, so **** you guys! I've had every GTA ever, including the London 1969 expansion, and everything has always been the same. This is the first time they've done San Andreas on next gen, so it's not surprising they would do this.

Still hoping for a next gen London game at some point though.
